What bands would you recommend on Archive, besides the obvious DTB?

Jimmy Herring and Warren Haynes years of Phil Lesh and Friends. 2000-2003, roughly. Three SBD's of the September 2003 run at the Warfield are INSANELY good.

7-12-2001 is another favorite, particularly for the UJB.

To me that was the best incarnation of P & F....I was at one of the Riviera shows in Chicago that year and it was sick.

I would agree with Randy about those Q shows. I saw that lineup live about 12 times or so and they were the $hit!!! There are also a ton of DTB and Soul Stew shows!!!

I like all P&F, but the version with Warren and Jimmy is the best, current is excellent.

Other bands on the archive I like
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
Little Feat
Steve Kimock
The Dragonflys - (Jimmy Herring, Rob Barraco)
Benevento / Russo
Tea Leaf Green (+/-)

I've grabbed some Tishamingo from there, that was enjoyable.

A couple of shows by a band called "The Breakfast," just because I thought the name was amusing. Checked out Perpetual Groove, they were okay. There was one band I checked out . . . strong Hendrix and ABB influences (a couple of covers). They only had a couple of shows up, but I liked what I heard. I posted a review here, and a little while later, somebody popped up and said, "hey, that's my band, thanks for the nice words" or something like that.

Can't remember their name . . . it was something funny. I'll see if I can find it . . .

No luck so far . . . I remember when there were a few hundred bands on the archive. Now it looks like there are a few thousand.

This is going to bother me until I remember it . . . IIRC, it was a play an another name, like Garage Mahal. It wasn't that, but you get the picture.
