I just saw this item and thought it was worth mentioning.

I hope this is indeed fact, I'm a fan of WSP and would greatly anticipate a double bill with the ABB. I would've loved to have been at the Beacon last week for John Bell and Jimmy Herring sitting in, so this is an opportunity I wouldn't want to miss out on a second time.

I did not like JB with the Brothers but thought Jimmy smoked. I have never seen Widespread Panic but watched a show that was streamed from a festival last year and thought they were excellent. I think that would make an excellent double bill. I love Herring and to see him jamming out followed by Warren, Derek and the boys would be great!

good find!

Another post on the beacon board said Mansfield for 8/22 or 8/23, and I've heard from a couple places that WSP/ABB is booked for August at Meadowbrook up in NH.

John Bell had trouble with the Allman Bros versions of each respective song. Listen to him with the original guitar player, Michael Houser, and you'll see that he does wonderful versions of each. Specifically Guilded Splinters. They played it in a different key and tempo so he didn't nail it like he usually does.... OH WELL!

As you said Jimmy was rockin, and this will prove to be a very successful Co-Bill.

I'll definitely be looking for a ABB/WSP pairing coming soon to a neighborhood near me!

Yes, I had heard this. Mansfield the 22nd I believe but we need to wait on all the final official stuff before they announce it. I am all for an ABB/Panic bill! I'll hit a few of those! Meadowbrook Farms would be a nice!
