Yesterday morning, Butch posted on the Moogis site:

I am so tired right now I can barely type. Truth be told this has been the best experience of my life (other than the birth of my children). I am so proud of what this has and is turning into (we just got some incredible news about a near future Moogis project). Thanks you all for helping make this happen. I set it up to be a community project and that is what it has become. Let's keep the ball rolling and make this community grow.

I'm ready to renew my subscription right now!

I will definitely keep renewing; there are MANY MANY shows that could be added, and many more shows yet to be played!!! I for one HOPE SO!!
Butch, you are brilliant for thinking this one up and i thank you for it! It allows access to those whi just can't get to shows and that is meaning an awful lot to an awful lot of people. VERY SPECIAL!

Near future, huh? Dead tour? Phish Tour? I suspect something like that to get the economies of scale thing going. Personally, I hope it's a Moogis showing of a 4-5 night Fox run.

If "near future" means before September, then we should get it without having to renew.

I wish Butch and team Moogis great success. I hope they get a contract to do this for the Beacon for all the artists who will play at that wonderful venue. Of course anything else that will help sustain them during the initial stages of growth and acceptance in the industry will be a win. Best of luck into the future and thanks for bringing your vision to fruition.

Great news!
The format does lend itself to a fixed venue versus "touring" with bands. That many roadshows requires a serious equipment investment.
That being said, I think there are a number of festivals that would be perfect for Moogis:
Wanee
Bonnaroo
Mountain Jam
Austin City Limits

The possibilities go on and on. And I will be "IN"!!!!

I suspect Warren Haynes will have something to do with the next major Moogis project, possibly Gov't Mule.

Will be an interesting future indeed. Will people pay a high cost of $125 to suscribe when there is no Beacon run? After the six months of seeing the Beacon shows are over then demand is even less. So will the price drop?

I was suprised that they didn't offer a one show pricing just to help with interest. Lost profits and lost potential customers but maybe there was a reason.

I wish them well and can't wait to see what's next and how they handle membership pricing.

As far as I understand it, you will still get future shows, they just will not be streamin' live (as of now) but I think we could work on that. Let's face it, there is plenty of money in Washington, you just have to get your legislators to get it appropriated where you want it. All the bills have pork or pet projects in them, why not a few for us? ABB is going to California, Butch you need to invite Arnie and get him involved at his level, statewide Moogis, then we need to get our federal representatives involved, how many of them like music do ya think? Think BIG. It's like the Apprentice, each week there are tasks, now get going.

That's what I'm hoping for!

Either way, this has been a great time. If all I get is the Beacon run, I'm very happy.
