I second this emotion. I'm waiting to schedule my own show in Denver so I can do it on the same weekend.

Me too, you all are starting to make me nervous. It's not like they play anywhere else around here!!! Loved that blizzard, we sure needed the moisture.
C'mon, guys, I need to know which days to get off work !

I kept getting excited by the pogs about the Red Rocks Casino so I figured it was time. Last year was so much fun and I hope we can do it all again. I'd love a long weekend with a bunch of the ABB family of bands-kind of a Rocky Mountain Wanee fest.
So, Shawnee, you are a Denver person or Colorado person?
Magicpeach-didn't we 'talk' about Red Rocks last year? I think you were looking for a camping area-is that correct?

I'm up by Longmont, in Firestone. I didn't get to go last year, my bothersome kid brother (now 53) flew into town that day. 40 years later and he's still a pain .
I made Snowmass the year before, and loved it, although it was obvious Gregg wasn't feeling too hot. Long drive, too.
I'm really looking forward to this year, maybe I can join the group?
I'm just guessing maybe labor day weekend, otherwise, I'm taking a couple of sick days!!
Yeah, every time I see the Red Rocks Casino, I think ooh, there it is!! BUT NOOOOO.

I'm hoping for a couple of nights this year. Maybe have Soul Stew, The Mule, Peacemakers and Jassz band on the bill. Heck, throw in a night at the Ford Amphitheatre in Vail too!

Shawnee, the party and pre-show concerts or other festivities are open to all. Hope to see you. Did you look at the pictures last year? It was great. Good weather, catered bbq food drinks and other party favors (I think Slammer is still in my dining room, but I can't see in there yet), and Tommy Gallagher and friends including Lefty Collins opening, did an almost private concert for us at a little Denver club. It was fun. The next day we all met up again out at the Marriott for more pre-show festivities.

One of the bands Tommy plays in with Kim Stone is called "A New Brain for Arnie" (acid jazz improv) and will be playing every Sunday night in April at that little 'hippie' club we had the the pre-ABB show concert at-Dulcinea's-so we hope they can build a little following in Denver because they are not getting enough shows down in Colorado Springs where they are from. It would be great if they can get a foothold in the tough Denver market.

The Best!!! (although I got into town to late to attend the festivities with the Mayor of Denver, Jack, and his lovely wife Phyllis the rest of it was a gas!)

September 4,5,6 is a rumor out there. Labor Day Weekend and possibly with Widespread Panic.

Also, October 3, 4 in Charlotte, NC, and October 11th in Raleigh.

Those 2 I'm 100% about, the RR dates not so much.

friday of labor day weekend at red rocks is booked for Darius Rucker a.k.a. Hootie

Though with the holiday, they could do Sat-Sun-Mon.

I hear that and am smilin'~ laughing at this! Great minds think alike!

They can always do the Sat and Sun and perhaps this will be one of the Widespread Panic double bills. One year they played July and that was cool too.

Yeah! Maybe I'll meet the BHawks in Colorado (since I'm out for MiddleEarth ... we'll just have to expand those MiddleEarth parameters! )

Hope we get a couple of nightss

Bhawk, hope to see you there this year. One of the highlights when the ABB plays Red Rocks are the different charactors from across the country that show up in Denver, this old cowboy from New Mexico will be there with Bells on!

Amen. I got to meet Deb and her entourage(sister and friend I think) last year and I'd love to meet the BHawks. especially since we are often on the same wavelength in WP threads, lol. A dangerous place for sure-I go to let off steam at people who don't really communicate about the music, parties and fun here, so the SnarlingJack sometimes comes out.
Does anyone have the links to last years pics-or some of them since there were a lot of links.
