Have any of you seen this dope on TV? Is he really the best the Republicans can put forward to speak for them? Watching these guys constantly criticize every single thing Obama does, all bunched up in a group, nodding their heads and looking smug, is really hilarious.

They created a huge mess in this country, and the citizens rightfully put them out of office last year. Now all they can do is bitch and whine, and offer no ideas on how to clean up their mess. And they send this sissy-ass Congressman to constantly snipe and ridicule.

The Republicans are becoming less and less relevant. They better hope Obama is not the vindictive kind. If the economy turns around during his watch, he'll have enough political capitol to bury every one of them.

You guys think that's funny, the RNC is currently organizing what will turn out to be a multi-million dollar fundraiser for...Sarah Palin.

You know, the person that is definitely not the future of the party...uh-huh...

If you go to the link Billastro provided on the telepromter thingy there is a link where she is complaining at a dinner of some sort in Alaska that the no one in the McCain camp would do prayer circles with her! I guess she is using that as a reason they lost, McCain apparently was not holy enough.

Again, here we go with another political whore professing virginity after the fact. She gives a contract to her buddies to build the sports center in Wasilla and then those same people build her new house for free. I guess she is all for getting something for nothing as long is she is the only one doing the gettin!

The economy better turn around on his watch, because it's already overdue for starting to recover now. Your comments are typical of someone who only cares about the next election, whether your side wins, and who gets "buried." Never mind ten years down the road, when interest on the debt is over one trillion dollars and your lucky to get to keep half of what you earn. As long as the economy recovered back in 2011 and some Republicans lost their elections, then everything is OK.

Historically, a recovery normally starts at around 15 months. Although there was an attempt from the Left to say we were already there in the months leading up to it, we entered into a recession in late 2007. We have passed the 15 month mark.

Nice try, alloak, but my comments are only typical of me. I don't have a "side." I know that's hard for you to understand. Everyone who disagrees with you isn't on a side, no matter what Rush wants you to believe.

Just because you and the rest of the Republicans think that way doesn't mean other people do.

Care to offer up a comment about Eric Cantor, one of your new spokesmen?

My bad Allen. I guess I should have gathered that since I see you railing on the Democrats so bad here all the time..

Sure I would. Cantor comes off kind of like a pansy to me. I'd prefer Mark Sanford (R-South Carolina) if I had my choice.

If a Democrat had done what a Republican has done the past 8 years, you can bet I'd have been railing. I voted for Bush in 2000. John Kerry is the first Democrat I ever voted for.

Republicans. Obama is an obvious failure as he couldn't correct 8 years of failed policies in 2 months.

Thank you for stating this in one simple sentence... People it's only been TWO MONTHS! I'm not even ready to talk about what's happening yet... I've had bowel movements that take longer.

This is a serious question. Can things be so bad in the GOP that nobody wants to be the face of it? Someone, especially someone thinking about 2012, should be stepping forward. I know the GOP has some good people, somebody should be seizing this opportunity to rebuild the party.

They have Michael Steele at the helm now. That should tell you something. A token to counter the Democrat's Negro.

I'm not trolling. Trolling is when you post incendiary material in order to get a specific response. All I said is I think you enjoy acting like a tool when you come here.

Do you not?

I like this because saying the economy is overdue to recover is the same as saying the republicans were keeping it from recovering.
Perhaps you have noticed the stock market under Obama has increased more over the last 3 weeks than any 3 week increase since 1982. I wonder why the right couldn't do anything but kill the market for 8 years.

You imagine me trolling, yet all I do is to supply an alternative way of thought. When people like you are supplied with such information, you immediately chime in with insults, name-calling and the like.

Dude, for the 100th time. I didn't call you a troll. I said you seem to enjoy acting like a tool when you come here.

No. The recession definitely started when Bush was in office.

John, you really don't know what you are talking about. Bhawk acts less like a troll than almost anyone who posts here. Are you just looking for some people to fight with today? You aren't helping your case at all calling someone like Bhawk a troll.

Calling the economy today a "recession" is being a little simplistic, I think. There is much more going on than that.

Allen - he insults me - I insult him back. It's as simple as that.

Maybe so, but he isn't a troll. He adds as much to the discussion as anyone here, and acts respectfully to those who do the same. I've seldom seen anyone in a fray with him. The last one was Derek Halsey. That should tell you something.

I have noticed, and that's good. The market needed a rally. I have to disagree with your second point, though. I did well in the market from 2002 through late 2007.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong. This is it. I tried to explain this to you months ago and you refused to hear it, so this thought is on you, not anyone else.

There are people on the opposite side of the political fence that I have argued with around here for years. Heated discussions, well-thought out exchanges, all of it. Some of the old WP threads are really cool, pages and pages of people going back and forth with nary an insult.

You, however, seem to have decided that you are going to be the moral compass of this board (well, that is, when you are actually here) by pointing out every infraction that you believe is wrong because people aren't acting they way you want them to.

The person with the closed mind is you. The person that judges people on their political beliefs is you. I've got friends in my life that are so Right-wing they lean to one side when they walk. Dear, old friends of mine.

What it appears to me is that you have justified anything you say because you have made the assumption that people don't like you because of politics.

I personally think that you just like logging on here to phuck with as many people as you can because you find it fun or entertaining or whatever. If you do, whatever. Pleanty of people around here have had the same motivations. I'd just wish you'd man up and admit it.

I've got no problem with Hawk - but if he calls me a tool, I reserve the right ('sup Stillwater) to call him out on it as well.

I said you act like a tool. Act.

Dear Lord. If I had known your vagina was this sore today I never would have said anything to you.

A sexist remark now? Is that your way of trying to call me a homosexual or something? Used in derogatory ways?

Hold on a second. I thought you were here to raise our blood pressure. I thought I'd lighten the conversation with some friendly ribbing...guess not, huh? Oh well.

Cut to the chase, chief. This is the Whipping Post. People argue. Sometimes it gets heated. 99% of the time it smooths itself out. If you think you are persecuted for this or that than that's on you.
