yes, he was the original 3rd drummer. it was jaimoe, butch, and animal. after 69, when he was asked to leave the band via western union telegram, they kept it as only jaimoe and butch, until the early 90s when Marc came along -that was when they had the idea to reintroduce a 3rd drummer to the line up.

That's right..some rumors have it that the notification of dismissal actually came through morse code. I've heard it a few different ways. Fun fact: There is only 1 ABB bootleg that exists with animal on it.

That's the spin but we all know the real reason.

That a-hole Kermit made him a better offer.

thats not what i heard. i was always told that he and big bird were hooked on black tar -which is the real reason only he and animal could see snuffy.

He was terrific when he sat in with the Grateful Dead at MSG for their Rainforest Benefit show in 1988.

I think Animal is doing all of Bob Dylan's lead vocals live now, he stands behind a curtain and Bobby mouths the words.

"LAAAY LAAAADEEEEEE LAAAAAAYYYYYYY WOOOOOGRRRRHHHHH"

Sunffalupaguss will be doing the light show regardless of who shows up on stage. He's very talented with his nose . . .

Good for old HR. Heard he's been going through some rough times with his ex-wife Witchy-Poo. Custody battle over a talking flute...

I thought at the time...$65 to sit behind Big Bird?....I'd do it all over again.

I just can't describe how psyched I am for tonight's show. If I wasn't wasting my time in this thread I'd be pacing the floor, maybe crawling up the walls!

(Also avoiding all the other threads, don't want any spoilers)
