A good friend just told me that he heard from three of his friends, that the band is quitting after this year. any truth to this rumor. do u know anything about this Rowland?

What Butch has said is that after this year they won't be touring as much as they had in the past. They will still do the Beacon run and 20 or so shows in the summer, but that will be it.

That's a good question. I don't recall him saying anything about that. I'd assume so.

In '06 and '07 they did 30 non-Beacon shows each year, so this wouldn't be a huge drop-off to go to 20.

There is NO question that the ABB will be at the Beacon next yr.

their is a nice outdoor venue either in n.c or s.c I cant remember the name of it
but its only a few hours from the beach


Well, there's Walnut Creek in Raleigh and Verizon Wireless in Charlotte....

Don't know of any outdoor venue in SC...I live in Charlotte and those are the only 2 which the ABB plays....but they play every year (with the exception of 2 years ago whrn they cancelled the Charlotte show)
