So, like a bad stock tip, I bought on the rumors... Since the EC rumors were right, even to the date I am hoping the DB rumors are true.

So it has been a tradition to go the Beacon run with my pops but he phsyically can't go anymore, and I bought 1 upper bal ticket for Monday. IMO I don't think they can top what they did on 3/20 but hell, even if the show does suck being a Monday and all, and even if DB does not show up, I'll still be at a beacon show.

IMO Monday nights over the years have been some of the best performances and interesting guests as artists aren't usually booked for their own show on a Monday night. 3.13.06 was a Monday, for example. This year's opening Monday was excellent and the Bonnie sit in on 3/16 was special.

Always go on Monday!!!

Tonight and Monday were listed as TBD on that guest prediction list. I'm going Monday.

No mention or sign of Leslie West or Peter Frampton?
I caught Leslie twice in two years. He said on stage, "I love playing with you guys!"

Leaning that way too. I don't wish to see Mr. Betts compromised in any way and sitting in as a guest seems to me, IMHO, less than he deserves.

I don't know who tonight's guest(s) will be (Saturday) but I am hoping it comes off as less high profile than the last two nights. I really want to see The Allman Brothers Band hit the note in their own special way.

One thing for sure. You will not see a show that stinks. That is just not possible. We are talking about degrees of greatness in my opinion. I don't think that this group of musicians are capable of putting on a bad show.

I don't either. I saw Frampton already with them in either 06 or 07 at the Beacon, so I am hoping DB or some other surprise!

We need to see and hear a Chuck 'Jessica' before the run is over. I was very disappointed with the version they did with Hornsby. I liked him on the other songs but thought he totally bogged down 'Jessica' with his solo. His style totally clashed with that song IMO.

Actually, I saw Leslie West sit in during the '06 run on "Born Under a Bad Sign" and "Summertime". I'm not a huge Mountain fan, but it wasn't half bad - it was definitely a Warren night. I would have preferred they just play more ABB tunes, but I wasn't crying 'uncle' by any means. I was still recovering from the heartbreak of missing King Curtis' Kingpins reunion on "Memphis Soul Stew" the night before. Still haven't recovered from that, actually.

JB and Herring would be phenomenal.

Derek and Herring doing Liz Reed in Buffalo years back was something else....made 2 grams feel like 10 grams.
