I know there was already a thread about hotels near the beacon just wondering if anybody had any new ones. most of the ones that were mentioned are booked. looking for something inexpensive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can try the Comfort Inn on West 71st and CPW. Ithink they go about $100 per night...small but you'll be tired

Really nice, right up the street. Tell them you saw the Kayak pricing. They are $119 and $129 rooms available. The rooms have fridge and microwaves so you can same some $ on food.

Try Expedia, they have a lot of specials in NYC, best prices I've found. Not all walking distance to the Beacon, but within 20 blocks. Holiday Inn on 57th and 9th has been coming up at $113. night, if you prepay

I got a room via quickbook.com at 6 Columbus or something like that for $116 for Fri and Sat this week. LT a mile from the Beacon and right down the street from the Sat pre-show at Columbus 72. qb.com always has 72 hour specials going into weekends. Good site and this hotel looks great. Hotel Bellaclaire is also a good choice but they show full.

Got a room at comfort inn central park west which apparently is less than a minute away by car. They still have rooms available if anybody is looking.

Regardless thanks for all the help

I used Priceline and got "On the Ave Hotel" which is at 77 and Broadway (3 blocks from Beacon) putting in $115.00 per night.

Has great reviews, so I'm optimistic, but I've never stayed there.

GOOD LUCK!

Here is one we are staying at next week. Two short subway rides away. Good reviews and CHEAP, esp. if you have AAA. Rooms as low as $72.

DUDE!!
Do NOT drive to the Beacon or take a cab. Beacon is on 74th Street and you are on 71st. Walk will take 5 minutes...stumble will take 10 minutes and a stagger will take 15 minutes. If you are drunk or whatever past that point then you should take a cab.

Make sure you reserve a room with a private bathroom! They have several where you share with 2-3 other rooms.

Remember it's also like 30-40 per night to park the car.
But there are some deals out there
