Hey Scott, when will we see you at the Beacon? This list is interesting and one thing I could just about confirm is a "Free Bird" with Rossington! I have a nice seat that night so I hope so. It'll be good for him to Jam that one since his heart is still aching with the recent loss of Powell!

No Beacon for me this year due to a variety of circumstances beyond my control.

I am watching/listening with jealously and earnest.

Seriously, how reliable is that list???

Easy to get the fisrt two nights guests right when you post the list AFTER they have already come out.

Can anyone corroborate?

Gondicar says it's from a friend of a friend of some guy at work. That sums it up. *laugh* Fun to speculate, though.

Boz Scaggs is confirmed on his website for tonight and I think this cannot help but be a truly magical moment in musical history. I know a lot folks only know about Boz for his "disco" years. Let's dig a little deeper. Boz grew up in Texas in a musical family and started his career off with some cat named Steve Miller. His first solo album was cut in Muscle Shoals with none other than Duane Allman on some of the lead guitar and dobro. The stretch out and burn version of "Somebody Loan Me A Dime" was supposed to be cut back to a respectable 3 or 4 minutes for the album, but after listening to the playback it was decided that the world needed to hear what this young cat named "Skydog" could do. Aint we blessed that somebody had some sense to leave the full version on the album. Anyway, I have followed the career of Boz Scaggs since the first album and I just want to say that my life has been much richer because of the intergrty, commitment, and talent that this guy brings to the world. The voice that this man is blessed with is a priceless jewell. I have all of his albums and there is not a bad one in the catalog. For those of you who would like to expand your musical boundries, I reccomend "Come On Home" an album of blues standards given the full Boz Scaggs treatment, there is a doulble live album that is also available on DVD shot in High Definetion that will just transfix you. There are two disc of jazz standards (But Beautiful & Speak Low) that will transform you. O.K. you get the picture, I'm a fan. Just like I think that there is no band like the ABB, there is only a handful of artist that have got the impeccable musical history of a Van Morrison or a Boz Scaggs. Yeah, I think tonight might just be one of those nights.

Dave Mason is local tonight, too. Mexicali Blues in Teaneck , NJ....

As I said, the list I posted might not be worth anything...I got it 3rd hand, from a guy who knows a guy...but speculation is half the fun, expecially for those who can't be there in person.

And just to add to the rumors...I read that Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones are in NYC working with a new singer...some of the zeppelin sites say they will be playing with ABB while they are in town.

So true, jpick - Boz has always been one of my faves (as well as Van)! I'll be looking for some Moogis Magic tonight (with or without Boz but how sweet it would be with)!

Butch had hinted to something on Moogis a couple weeks ago that only if you read between the lines would you think of these two legends I believe they will be there!

Man, I hate it when websites just automatically kick in playing sounds/music as soon as you land on it!

Anyway, it is on Boz's myspace page, but I don't see it on his offical site either...

Brian Bosworth will be there? Interesting. Is he as good as Steven Seagal?

I've got tickets to the 3/13 show and I will be absolutely crushed if Phish shows up. I don't even want to think about that possibility.

I don't mind Boz Scaggs' first album, it's pleasant but I never thought it was great. His 70s stuff is pretty bland to me and I never liked his voice much. I remember seeing him on an old SNL from that era and did the most generic soft rock song I have ever heard. Still, it'd be better than Phish.

Even if you don't like Phish or their music, Trey and Page are very talented musicians who could actually bring a lot to the table jam wise. I'm going tonight and I'm looking forward to a great show regardless of who sits in.

Sounds pretty sure for Boz tonight since he's got it on his own schedule. Sure wish I could be there to experience but you can bet me and Lola will be dancing in front of the Moogis monitor again tonight!

Skype that please!!!

I'm in Brooklyn and only can afford to see one show, can't decide which show I want to go to. Damn rumors, would really love to see Clapton. Maybe next Thursday but some people are saying tonight.

As for the Boz rumors it was on his official website earlier this week. Maybe he took it down because it was supposed to be a secret.

Freudian slip on Tal's name there?

I don't know about the Page and Jones thing since their manager said that their search for a lead singer was over after auditioning several people (including Steven Tyler) last year didn't go so well.
