Tonight Jim Sheridan will be a guest of the ABB. He will be in the loge, singing back-up vocals softly. He is really looking forward to it.

Sounds pretty sure for Boz tonight since he's got it on his own schedule. Sure wish I could be there to experience but you can bet me and Lola will be dancing in front of the Moogis monitor again tonight!

I'm hoping for Boz Scaggs. He along with Elvin Bishop and of course The Allman Brothers Band bring's back a lot of good memories for me while I was growing up. Lower Balcony Row A for tonight. See you there.

Be safe.

I'm sure Jim paid to be there, so he qualifies IMO.

Ok, this make not be worth anything, but a guy I work with told me that tonight's guests (Thu 3/12) will be Trey and Page from Phish...he also told me that the guy who gave him this info got his info from someone else a few weeks ago...see below...given that this "source" was right on for the first two nights, it will be interesting to see if his other info is correct as the run goes on...note Clapton is slated for not just one but TWO nights(!!!)...here is what I was just sent...if nothing else it is more grist for the rumor mill I guess...

My original source has now posted this:

The guy sent me this info two weeks ago and he is right on so far. Here are the other sit-ins:

3/09 - Levon Helm, Taj Mahal
3/10 - Johnny Winter, Los Lobos
3/12 - Trey & Page
3/13 - Boz Scaggs
3/14 - Chick Corea, Lenny White, and possibly Stanley Clarke
3/16 - John Hammond, Bonnie Brownlett (or something close to that)
3/18 - Sheryl Crow
3/19 - Clapton
3/20 - Clapton
3/21 - TBD
3/23 - TBD
3/24 - Billy Gibbons, Sonny Landreth
3/27 - Gary Rossington, Ivan Neville, possibly Kid Rock
3/28 - Weir & Lesh

I saw this over on phishhook, Kid Rock does not excite me although he seems like a nice guy. Hopefully they won't do that "Sweet Home Alabama" thing that was all over the radio last summer

I remember when Sheryl Crow opened for the Brothers years ago at Great Woods, used to duet w/ Gregg on "Midnight Rider." Rumor was that they had something going on at the time...

I'm just happy to be seeing ABB at the Beacon - live and via Moogis. I enjoy the special guests but to me they are just icing on the cake. And interesting that 3/26 is missing from the list. And I definitely hope Stanley Clarke makes an appearance with the other RTF guys!

I would look for this run To REALLY pick up steam from here on out which is usually the case... They need a couple of shows to get re-energized and work out the kinks so they should now be feeling it and blowing the roof off for the remainder of the run.

Remember, as far as guests go, Butch also mentioned that 2 or 3 top notch Jazz cats were pretty much confirmed as well. It sounded as though it was someone other than the guys who have already stepped in like Roy Haynes, Jimmy Cobb, Ravi Coltrane etc.
I believe Butch said one of them was a Bass player - Stanley Clarke?, Dave Holland?, Victor Wooten?, Alphonso Johnson?....???

Newsday listed some upcoming jazz shows in today's paper

Stanley Clarke is playing IMAC in Huntington, NY (Long Island) on Saturday night so he's in the area. Chuck Mangione is in town, too. (Stony Brook)

Bucky Pizzarelli (83 years young) and his 7-string guitar can be seen the following week in Dix Hills.

Date for Sheryl Crow is probably wrong since there's not a show on the 18th. Maybe they meant the 17th?

I'd love to see Les Paul on that list.

and B.B. King. Can I get a hell yeah for a B.B. King Medley at the Beacon?! I mean, c'mon. Not for me.....for Duane.

Hell Yeah

Hey Scott, when will we see you at the Beacon? This list is interesting and one thing I could just about confirm is a "Free Bird" with Rossington! I have a nice seat that night so I hope so. It'll be good for him to Jam that one since his heart is still aching with the recent loss of Powell!

Seriously, how reliable is that list???

Easy to get the fisrt two nights guests right when you post the list AFTER they have already come out.

Can anyone corroborate?

Too bad the typical "hittin' the web'r" isn't worthy of Trey and Page.
