I remember this tune very well, as well as Coconut....Nilsson was one twisted dude, one of the hardest partiers in Rock. He was responsible for John Lennon's Lost Weekend. He also hung out with Keith Moon a lot, too....no wonder he isn't around any more.

In 1971 I saw the Allmans for the very time at the Fillmore East!
Think they recorded an album that night :-)

I went to see Johnny Winter and the Allman Brothers Band at the Fillmore East in March 1971. What a night that was....

Was in High School that year so the rest of my activities are recorded in the ancient scrolls of those days.

My memories of this song take me to that summer at the public swimming pool in my old hometown. The pool had a jukebox (4 plays for a quarter!) and "Jump Into the Fire" was always one of my picks. Great album, too!
