When I visited 3 years ago I found Tower to be the best store for choice for "our taste" in artists. So with Tower gone, where can you recommend for us Euro invaders?

Go to Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village - 239 Bleecker St., New York, NY 10014. I'm pretty sure they have two locations in the village.

Head downtown to St. Marks Pl. between 2nd & 3rd Aves. Lots of Mom & Pop record stores down there with much to be found. St. Marks Pl is located between 7th & 9th Sts. Happy hunting!
