Hey all..now that i am holding the tickets, I am going to appeal to all of you in these tough times...

as we all know, the Seaman family is going through some horrific times....the expenses they have are mindblowing...

and yet, all Gary does is come here and spread joy, love and hope...
so let's try and send some back his way...

I have 2 Beacon tickets for Thursday, March 19th..they are main floor, row Q seats 22 & 24 ....if you are facing the stage, this is on the left side...

the face value, with TM charges is 234.03....

they are offically up for auction with ALL proceeds going to the Seaman family...I will hand deliver them on the 19th...

if we don't go over face here, then i will try selling them on show day and just give the family whatever i get for them...

cash is king (), so if you are going to pick them up on the 19th, plese make sure you bring presidential flash cards..

lets help threse folks..

I am going the 12th. So getting back to the city will be tough for me. However is there a way we can donate 20-30 bucks? that way if the auction does not go over. you can add to it?
I myself went through a rough 6 months over the summer and back on my feet I would like to help!

Keeping it on the front page. Lefty, lots of folks strapped for cash. Are there other things that can be done to help? Example, I got some gift cards lying around with bits of cash left over. I'm sure other folks may. Perhaps we can check the balances write them on the card and send them? Every bit helps and the cash lying around in a drawer does nobody any good. Other suggestions folks????

believe me, i know we are all strapped right now...and this community is a very giving one...i debated not doing this and just selling and giving the money to them but i figured, if we raised some more, that would be great...

look, this place is filled with wonderful folks that do amazing things for each other...i owe this site and the folks that come here more than i could ever hope to repay...

i just wanted to try to help these guys, that's all...

if they don't move, i will sell them at the gig and give them the money..no biggie...

we will have a donation bucket out at our BB King's show for the Seaman family as well...

it's all good...if nothng else, just keep them in your prayers..

How about a raffle?

I could probably set up a page that will accept paypal payments and give receipts in about an hour. At the end of the ticket-selling phase you just collect the entries and pull one out of a hat in the presence of a witness or three, and send the tickets to the winner . . . providing full disclosure at every step.

What if you sold 50 tickets at ten bucks a pop?

God bless you, Lefty. Not a day goes by that I don't think about Tyler (who happens to be one of my heroes) and the Seamans. My prayers and thoughts for these folks remain constant. I've got tickets for the 19th Beacon show already but will be looking for that bucket at BB's. Thanks so much for doing this.

Lefty, if you want to convert this to a Raffle, let me know.

I already have it ready to go (or at least a draft, we can change the language) if you say the word.

Hi folks - I know that a lot of times people will read the initial post in a thread, and then add their reply without having a look at the discussion that has ensued since the initial post.

The current question is, do people feel that converting this to a raffle would be a better strategy . . . i.e., raise more money. I am happy to handle the technical side of things if Lefty asks me to.

A raffle for the tix? Or somethinge else? Much as I'd LOVE to be at the Beacon, it's just not gonna happen, but if you're setting something up w/ Paypal, I'll still buy a chance, because I wanna help the PeachNutts. I'd buy a ticket for $10 bucks to take a chance to win one of the new 40th anniversary sweatshirts. hint hint... Whatever y'all come up with, I'm in!

Lefty and Droog - I added something to the Spare Tickets section linking back to this thread to let folks who might be on the site hitting that forum only know about your plans.

I'll toss some $ in the raffle bucket.

I'll keep up with this thread.

I know it's been said multiple times but it sertainly bears repeating,

Lefty, you're a good man.
