so let me ask what might seem like a stupid question to some people on here. did the crowes record these new songs at these concerts to release as a live albumof new songs or were they just getting an audience response to their new songs and will go into the studio and record the ones that got the best fan reactions?

The barn and the show was amazing! Very cozy atmosphere and staff was very friendly. These shows are meant for release and they also had a film crew there. I went last Saturday and they played about 10 new tunes for the first time. It started off with a country sound and then got down right rocking! Believe it or not they even played a disco song...Chris told us to get out our rollerskates. It was very cool to watch them work out these songs and the recording process as a whole. Chris kept us laughing all night as well as the rest of the band. If you are a Crowes fan get ready...this one should be a classic.

We are going this Saturday. I have never been this up for a show. The whole idea of being there for this recording process is soooo cool. And just to top it off, we are going to the Beacon on Tuesday. What a week!!!!!!

We went this past Sunday & the set list looks like most of the same songs, except the encore was Dolphins by Fred Neil - Chris introduced it as one of his favorite songs. Awesome. Unbelievable acoustics - best sound ever! The only trouble was if you weren't in the front of the line, the best seats & vantage points were already taken, since the space is so small. We had to go up in the loft & could only see when people sat down or moved! I wish I had known more beforehand.
They all seemed relaxed & having a good time. Chris was so funny.
If you're going make sure you are in the car lineup early - when we got there about 6 the line was already really long.
