IMO,they did anyway...my 1st dtb show...pretty impressed....

It was cool meeting StickT & DancinDave as well...Stick & i had a pre-show beer at The Rum Boogie Cafe...then sat together for the show...great view from the balcony.Very large crowd ,IMO,for The new Daisy....Oh,saw Josh shooting but, could'nt get down front where he was...did meet the other photgrapher tho. ...also met Derek's Dad in the Lobby...nice guy....Saw Derek getting on the bus/pre show but, did'nt speak w/him...

Vocalist Mike was on crutches & had to sit on a stool all night. He's great live...I must admit...after hearing him live i do have a new respect for his vocals.Derek was Derek...Insane playing....I must have hit a lucky night as they played all the tunes i really wanted to hear....Leavin' Trunk,Get Out My Life Woman,Freddie's Dead,These Are A Few Of My fav. Things...& Anyday. ...Kofi is phenomenal, loved the flute work.
Down Don't Bother me,Days Is Almost Gone & a really good Already Free were other hi-lites for me.

Played right at about an hr. & a Half..one encore.....Saw two tapers..

Picked up the Tour poster(signed) a cd i did'nt have (2nd one),& Already Free on vinyl...I'm stoked to get that vinyl...anyway...great show...great niight...great friends...thanks again Stick & dave...hope to do it again sometime...

Good morning Hugh , it was defintly cool meeting you and StickT and enjoying an AWESOME show. I must say Derek and the band (Mike, Todd, Yonrico, Kofi and Count M'btu) are amazing they are so tight they make it look effortless. For me arguably the best band right now and last nights show is going to be tough to top. I took loads of pics and have been working on them for the past two hours. Hopefully all will enjoy this tidbits. I also have video of Down in the flood and Already Free. Still need to clean up the audio later today.

One of the best dTb shows I've ever seen. I can't really count New Year's Eve shows and fest shows because it's a different animal, but as far as a "straight" Derek Trucks Band show, it was amazing.

Favorite moment:

During "My Favorite Things," Derek basically completely loosens his low E string, bends it BEHIND the neck of the guitar, and made it sound like the teacher from Peanuts. Completely insane.

There were actually three tapers (one of the mic stands - the one near the back - had two pairs of mics clamped to it).

Does anyone have a complete setlist - it's for one of the tapers.

I'll have a few pics up today, probably, but have two other shows from earlier in the week that I'm trying to bang out first.

Looking forward to the photos Josh, maybe sometime we'll meet up at a show. Though you're pretty far from me.

He's been doing that loosened low E-string thing since atleast last November.... pretty awesome isn't it?

I've seen him turn the peghead to change pitch before, but never bend it behind the neck. Sick.

Yep, he loosens it so it sags off the fret board, yanks the string backward (towards himself) overtop one of his pickups and plucks it as he pulls the string to change the pitch.

I really like when he winds it back up making the truck revvvving sound!

Yeah spot on Josh, that was cool i was up front and center and was watching Derek manipulate the guitar like no other.

I really like the sound of Down in the flood where Derek switchs guitars. Anyway I posted my pics www.davidbrunswick.com/DTB022109/

Yeah belive it or not Moe have the flash turned off but still good pics for a kodak share.

Glad to see that you had a great time!!! My favorite DTB show was at the Lion's DEn in NYC in 2003 after the Allman Brothers had already played for 3 hours. Derek is the man

Hey man, I think your photos are great! What guitar is playing in that one shot? Is that a Silvertone?

Glad you had such a great time at your first dTb show, Hugh!
