As a spectator, that is....I saw Bill Walton and Pat Benatar with her husband at 2 different shows. Anyone else?

Bill Walton. Think he was in the front row. He stuck out like a sore thumb.

In 2007 there was a Bette Middler poser... but it wasn't her. I hear Clapton was at a few shows, but I never saw him.

I was at the show 2 years ago when he played with them. That was a GREAT moment.

As for celebs just in attendance, I ran into Jumbo Elliot of the NY Giants at one of the shows a few years ago.

I thought we saw Bette Midler but I guess it was a poser , makes sense the way she was attracting attention .
The last run we sat by Glenn Close and it was her because my wife spoke with her , also I thought I saw John Kerry but not positive maybe just a lookalike .
We also saw Bill Walton , glad I wasn't sitting behind him . Bernie Williams played with the Bro's one night we were there .

yes, pretty much. at one point i did tell him to hush since i was there for the show, he was leaning across my lap (!!) talking to one of his posse on my left. it was SURREAL, as during my HS years when GNR had come out, i was a HUGE GnR fan. When Derek got done his "Dreams" solo (it was awesome), i tapped Axl on the shoulder and said "He's better than Slash, isnt he?" and at first i thought Axl was going to punch me, but then he just lit up and smiled.....

all told i sat next to him for about 45 minutes. i was pissed, it was my first 'front row dead center' experience and to have Axl and all his possee try piling in to the entire row (there where 7 of them and his 'handler') was a bit much. after the first 15 minutes of "Oh my god" i started to remember all the concerts that he cancelled and the friend i knew of that got hurt at one of his shows.

Ironcially, as things usually turn out to be in my odd life - i used to have a story about seeing Axl Rose when i was 17 at they show they opened for Aerosmith (88 or 89). i was getting thrown out of the venue (loooong story but hardly my fault) and when i got pulled backstage, Axl and Slash and all the rest where walking to their bus. So i used to tell that story and my exhusband would break my stones all the time...."Yeah, you met axl rose...yeah right" he would say.....I couldnt wait to tell him that it really happened, but years later!

Wow, what show was this?? That's pretty crazy, but I do remember hearing that Axl attended a DTB show in California a few years back and maybe even spoke to Derek about having him on Chinese Democracy?

And yeah, I saw Artie Lange from in the lower balcony sitting on the stage drunkenly playing drums on his knees along to Mountain Jam. That was the show where the Brothers opened the show with a complete Mountain Jam.

IN 2005 I had 4th row seats from the presale, right in front of Gregg!

Who sat down right in front of me?

Bill Walton. I am 6-3 so now I know how you short people behind me feel.

We were both on the aisle so I just leaned out in the aisle a bit. Until the Dancing starts
then Bill and I were both boppin in the aisle.

I really Wanted to talk to him about that great game I saw him play in the championship of the Lefty's Christmas tournament.
UCLA beat MD in 3 OTs. MD had John Lucas and Len Elmore and Tom McMillian. Greatest game I ever witnessed.

But Not the time or place to chat

Spacemonkey- I was in the 5th row(Greg's side) probably on the same night- March 14th, 2005 I believe?? Anyway, I was thinking whoever sat behind Bill Walton that night must have paid for an "obstructed view" seat without knowing it beforehand... Good thing they were letting folks hang out in the aisle.
