This reads kind of wierd. I think it is just trying to say he is a big fan. Not that he already saw the brothers at the new Beacon.

Anyway, I highly recommend ABB does a stop onto Jimmy Fallon's new late night gig starting March 2nd. 40th Anniversary Television tour. I would love to see them stop by Letterman and Leno one more time too.

"Fallon recently attended the grand re-opening of the Beacon Theatre where he told Hidden Track that hes a big Allman Brothers fan and called their shows the best hed ever seen at the newly refurbished venue."

Nice guy, sat next to him & his family up in the monster seats at Fenway one time.

I'm a Conan fan but I remember how awful his show was when he started out. Assume Fallon will have similar issues.

AGREED! I can't believe he's taking over Conan's show. He's just not funny.

Unfortunately I never found Jimmy Fallon as funny as Jimmy Fallon apparently does. That said, Conan's shows have been pretty painful to watch for the last year or so. I think he's ready to continue Jay Leno's tradition of not making me laugh at 11.30.

They should have given Jay Leno's show to Chelsey Lately ( Handler) & Chuy. I think she has the Late Night "Mentality"...

If you want late late laughter, watch Craig Ferguson.
He's funny.

Jimmy Fallon is funny...just ask him. He laughs at all his own jokes.

He never found a skit in SNL where he didn't try to ruin it by laughing while the skit was going on.

The guests will have to be pretty good for me to watch his show.

Cool that he's an ABB fan though. At least he has taste.

Chelsea Lately is a talk show host on "E"... pretty racy show. Her "side kicK' is a little Mexican guy named Chuy. Here's a clip from her show ...where she's interviewing Brett Michaels from Poison & "Rock of Love".... What a no talent this guy is...

Sorry, I find her pretty unfunny, too. I watch The Soup every once in a while, which I think is pretty funny, and would catch her opening monologue and she seems pretty bland to me, goes for the easy laughs (though considering Jay Leno is still doing Monica jokes, maybe that is the late night mentality today).

I do like Craig Ferguson, though, he's energetic and weird at least. Either way, I'd rather watch cartoons.

Fallon is absolutely terrible as a comedian and I can't think of anything funny he's ever done. I'm not sorry I've never seen him at a show. Maybe he'd do better on a talk show than in a skit. Doesn't matter for me - I'll still be watching Stewart and Colbert.

Ferguson and Leno tape in Los Angeles, by the way. Not much chance of the ABB jetting out there in the middle of the Beacon run!

Anybody who tries that hard to be funny can't be...kinda like someone who tries to be hip.

That movie that he did with Queen Litifah where he was a cab driver is one of the worst movies ever made.

I'm surprised he doesn't have Horatio Sanz as his sidekick so they can laugh at each other for an hour every night. The only reason he got this gig was he's up Lorne Michaels butt and is big buds with Tina Fey. I have Conan still scheduled on my DVR and it recorded last nights encore presentation and Fallon was on before talking about his show and it was painfully obvious he was reading from a teleprompter. Very amateur from a guy that has worked in TV before. I'd rather see someone like Norm MacDonald get this gig, he'd at least make the hour must see TV. Fallon is no talent hack.

Craig Ferguson is hilarious, love his schtick. He's not really a joke teller, but the energy that goes into telling stories from everyday life is the key for him. Chelsea is way better than Fallon, can't say that I'd even walk across the street to see him for free. I'd love to see a woman, working that gossipy angle, rather than the standard news stuff that Leno/Letterman dredge up. In defense of the late night "comedians", it's almost impossible to be funny 5 nights a week, over 40 weeks a year, with all new material every show. Leno was an excellent stand-up before the late night gig, saw him in a comedy club and also in a large theater. Letterman did as well as anybody ever has on late night for years in the 12:30 slot, but seems to be a jaded, bitter old man at this point.
The late night host gig is all about personality, being a witty conversationalist and having a very imaginative writing staff, not coming up with a bunch of jokes every night. Carson was the master, and his monologues were often bombs.

He would be hilarious. But I don't think a lot of middle American would "get" him.

Unfortunately sarcasm doesn't play well outside of most of the major population centers.

Hey now! I'm from Middle Earth and sarcasm is my modus operandi!
You're actually right. It really doesn't play that well in rural Middle Earth. I am the exception, not the rule. Just had to give you a hard time.
