Hypothetical question that's not so hypothetical: Given the choice would you spend $125 for Moogis and watch all the Beacon shows, or would you attend one show live (that is, if the band comes close enough this summer)?
That's my situation, I think.
Thoughts?

If I was in that situation, I would've forked over $100 for Moogis before it went up to $125, and still gotten a
reasonably priced seat for one show - maybe at around $60?

You could've had the best of both worlds for about 35 dollars more.

What you wrote sounded like your one show was not a beacon show so I have no idea what the actual seat/cost
differential would be, just guessing.

Hope you get what you want.

Moogis - Hands down.

To each his own and I have been to more shows than I could count. I'm older now and have had enough people puke next to or on me, spill beer next to or on me, the Whippin' Post Guy almost Always gets behind me these days. People that partake too much, people that don't tolerate a little "funny smoke", People that want you to sit down or force you to stand up. When you gotta pee you miss something. I can go on but you see where I'm comming from.

AND I enjoy being able to hear or see a a lot of shows. The Instant Lives have been a great thing for me. Moogis is a great option. Particulary if the funds are limited but you want more than one show. Doesn't matter to me which night Clapton & Betts show up I'll be able to see it!

I can puke on myself!

Live music over music on a computer. So I'd go with live.

However I hope to do both.

What's with the ticket prices anyway? Anybody else feel like the ABB could lower them a bit for us working stiffs? If I take my girl and we have a few drinks it more that $300 bucks. We all love the band but... Damn!

For the cost of the trip to NYC, I purchased a new tv, laptop, etc and purchased the MOOGIS package. It was really a no-brainer for me. I will get to see them live somewhere down the line this year and I couldn't pass up on MOOGIS.

I'd love to see lower ticket prices, too, but what ABB tickets are going for seem's to be consistent with other current concerts for comparable bands - low, in fact, when compared to some artists. I have to give props to Govt Mule, DTB, WSP here as they seem to be keeping costs and ticket prices very reasonable in these times of high entertainment costs.

it depended on the vibe venue and band
but for the people that dont live 20 miles from an arena
moogis is a great bargain

It depends where you are. I assume that you are in NYC by the way you asked because obviously travel would involve cost.

I would always pick a live show over any computer image. But this year is a little different as Moogis is available and there are many rumors concerning guests and whether or not there will be future Beacon runs. I think there will be more runs but possibly not the same guests or no Moogis. I hope that Butch and crew have success but it will be rough. I might have tackled the Moogis method a different way cost wise. But Maybe they have done the homework and this is how it works. Not going to be critical here or without knowing the facts. But this could be a one in a lifetime ABB event as far as the shows being accessible to all. (Who can afford it anyway)

If cash is that tight than support Moogis and play it loud enough to piss the neighbours off.

Looks like it will be Moogis for me unless I can win that seat on the side of the stage!

I think moogis gives a reason to hook the computer up to the tv

Moogies for me, and also go see them if they come near your town. Hey its The Allman Brothers Band. You can work out the difference between now and tour time.

I've got one show at the Beacon and Moogis for the rest. And hope to be able to catch them down the road this summer or fall. Admit, not living near NYC makes it expensive but I work hard and this is one of the things I work for. Bringing along some friends and we are making a little vacation in the city of it (and I'm camping this summer so don't have a lot of vacation $$$ being spent there).
