We do not share the same opinion on what defines "Good" vocals.

Imho....Bob Weir does not posses a "Good" singing voice. Bob Weir is not a vocalist. It is that simple.

Brent Midland has a fantastic voice and could easily give Gregg a run for his money.

Love the Jack Straw all the way around.

Bob Weir doesn't have a good singing voice? Are you kidding me? Haven't you heard him do 'Misty'??

I love the Dead, I happen to love Jerry's voice, but there is no one in the Dead has the vocal prowess of Gregg Allman

Roger McGuinn?

John Sebastian?

Craig Fuller?

Roger McGuinn? No. He'd be better for 'When You Go To San Francisco, Put A Flower In Your Hair'

John Sebastian? No. Better for 'The Ballad of Brokeback Mountain'

Craig Fuller? ... Who the F is Craig Fuller?

You should really sit yourself down with a nice Weir vocal performance of 'Bob Star'

Craig Fuller was the founder of Pure Prairie League, of "Amie" fame...and later joined Little Feat for Let It Roll. He sang most of Lowell George's tunes, sounded remarkably like him at times. He also wrote a few good ones, too.

He's not exactly a nobody.

Craig Fuller...Pure prairie League ...Little Feat

So, if nothing else, we can agree that you feel the same way about McGuinn & Sebastian that I feel about Bob Weir.

Love that song Amie (one of these days I'm going to have to pick up some PPL. Never heard any of their other stuff) loved him with Little Feat too.

...so...

Craig Fuller? No. He'd be better singing 'Welcome Back Cotter'

In all seriousness, Weir and Wasserman actually have performed Lowel George's 'Easy To Slip' and unlike 'Misty' and 'Boms Away' it is really good. Even the vocal parts.

What a compliment to one's singing voice..

"You know, there are clips out there on You Tube where he's not singing off key"

but thats what some folks say of him alot..he sings out of key.i have been a singer myself for man y years now,and i have many dead shows and for the most part he sings in key and doing a fine job IMO..but i think its just the tone of his voice you dont like..you dont like that style..simple as that..but to say he is a bad singer is wrong..I hate michael jacksons vocie, but i can tell he is a great singer..get it?

I'll take Bob Weir singing out of key over John Sebastian singing in key about dosing two year olds any day.

I've never "liked" Bobby's vocals, although I really enjoy a well sung Look Likes Rain and Cassidy.

I think all his parts could be done by any number of different singers, but Bob can't hit parts in return. Could you see Bobby trying to nail She Said She Said?
