I know that this will upset some of you but the number of special guests I want to see is

ZERO!!!!!!!!

Sorry good people, but I just don't want to dilute any of Derek, Warren, Gregg and the boys.....!!

It doesn't upset me! I'm actually quite happy when I get a whole show with no guests. Because I love the band as is!

I'm not complaining either way though!

"Dilute"? Is the Mule diluted when Warren has a guest or 2 sit in on one or 2 tunes? Is the new DTB release diluted because he has guests other than those in the DTB?
I think it is just the opposite. The addition of guests, especially for the Duane tribute, will enhance the brothers playing, inspire greater things from them and totally thrill the audience. Bring on the "when will Clapton play" threads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your thoughts, I am sure we will all be thrilled no matter how it goes...though I cannot possibly imagine comparing the Mule or DTB catalogue to 40 years of ABB!!!!!!

Only 24 days!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't matter to me...they still rock...although Chuck would be pretty cool.

ac has a point........no doubt.

15 shows and given their history of guests all the way back The Beacon makes that the rule.

some of the shows will have no guests though and some will have just one.

I saw both of the Little Milton shows and Taj Mahal.........each of whom stayed on quite along time and have such a strong stage presence.......it was a bit much.

but great shows just not so ABB song focused as you'd want.

I may be upset if Eric or Dickey visit on a night I am not there, otherwise I am really happy to see the allman Bros band 2009 version.

Hey ya'll, I completely agree with ac as well. The boys don't need inspiration!!! why would i want to hear clapton when I can hear more of Derek, Warren, Gregg etc!

Chuck L. would be different, I agree with that too!

Guests are o.k depending on who of course..but i always felt it takes something away from the show in a way.comming from an old long time follower of the band.guests are cool but the band should play alone longer........and wow wayne newton !!! ya belive that tool used to call himself the midnight rider!! yeah right !!!

Bring back Taylor Hicks and for the record my brother saw Paul Simon open the Beacon and was patted down like he was visiting Rikers. Ray Davis did the same thing last December at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC but maybe that was done because he was shot. Can't wait to see the Dolan security.
