Seal is on PBS right now at a Theater that looks like the Beacon. I knew he had the pipes, but he's got real stage presence as well. He did A Change is Gonna Come and It's a Man's World and he is the real friggin deal.

Agreed. The man is a pleasure to listen to
http://www.seal.com/
I first heard of him funny enough while waiting for a sanwich at Blimpie. "Kiss from a Rose (?)" came on the radio and this biker who was also waiting started singing along. I asked who it was and listned again when I got home on Rhapsody. Very pretty

I feel like I need to go do some pushups, hit up a strip club, shotgun a beer and crush the can on my forehead after reading this thread.

In all seriousness, dude can sing.

She sang "Santa Baby" in a little Santa outfit
in a Victoria Secrets TV commercial a few years ago.
All I have to say is.........BRAVO!!!!!
Not sure about her singing though. I wasn't really
paying attention!

I've actually been a big Seal fan since 90. I'm not a big fan of dance type music, but I recognized right away that he was doing it all different. He's been extremely creative and has had an excellent mix of analog and digital instruments and sounds and textures, with some great songwriting and of course beautiful vocals. Check out the song "State of Grace" from his album HUMAN BEING... Good stuff.

I can't wait to see the PBS special. His new album SOUL is a bunch of covers, such as the ones listed above.
