Is anyone else getting a window popping up with a security alert for this site?

Does this happen to say "Security System has found-----"?

If so, DON"T CLICK ON ANYTHING IN THE POP-UP!

If it's from the anti-virus you have on your system, it's ok.

If not, do the following, since there is a rash of malware going around.

If you have seen this pop-up on your computer, run a deep scan with your anti-virus, check the log file on HiJackThis, and do a registry scan.

The way this works is that when you click on the pop-up, anywhere on the pop-up, the program believes you are giving it permission to load onto your computer. The pop-ups will then start demanding you "renew" your "Security Center" to get rid of the "problems". Only thing is that the program is the problem, and you just gave someone who put the thing on your computer your credit card number. Want to guess what happens next, and if you think the program gets fixed, you're wrong.
All of a sudden, you start getting files from all over the place, more pop-ups, and more than likely-a maxed out credit card.

Please, before you start getting these things have Ad-Aware, SpyBot S&D, and HiJackThis installed along with your anti-virus and firewall. Ad-Aware and SpyBot will generally catch these before they can get started. If you keep running scans and log files with HiJackThis, you can see what changes got made and what was added since the last scan.

This program actually goes under many names, with the more common being:
WinXP Pro Antivirus
Internet AntiVirus Pro
AV360
Microsoft AntiVirus
AntiVirus Pro 2009

This thing changes constantly, and probably has already morphed into new names.

So, if you see something pop up on your screen like the ones described, don't even click on the little red x, back out off the internet, and run your scans.
