OK, because I need to start making plans (and choices), does anyone know if there will be a summer tour with the Mule this year?

I suspect with the Dead and the possibility of an extended ABB tour the answer is no, but I can always hope!!

My guess is that the Mule will go out after the Dead tour and before the ABB tour with a week or so break in between. Kind of like the same schedule they did last summer. Just a guess.

It looks like June may the time for some Mule. So far Bonnaroo toward the middle of June and now Wakarusa between the 4th and 7th or some thing like that. I am sure we will be hearing dates very soon, both for the Mule an ABB. People are saying ABB on the West Coast which would be nice for the peeps there.

Wakarusa is excited to announce the following additions to our 2009
lineup:

The Black Crowes
Gov't Mule
Shpongle
Eat Static
Langhorne Slim
Cedric Burnside and Lightnin' Malcolm
Jessie Baylin
Josh Phillips Folk Festival

I found this somewhere and posted it on the MULE ARMY site around a month ago!!

Immediately following his inauguration performances, Haynes will record the first new studio album in three years by his versatile quartet Gov't Mule. This will be the first record to feature the quartet's new bassist Jorgen Carlsson. Gov't Mule will perform the following dates this winter, and will embark on a world tour in support of its new album (due mid-June) which will encompass the US, Europe, and Canada between June and August of 2009.

Looks like Wanee can be added to that schedule now, too.

Since this is the weekend after Mt Jam, I will have to pass. You all know how much I love festivals. Though I will say the vibe at Wanee surpasses the one at Mt Jam and it all has to do with the weather cause the people are great at both.

Remember people, Mule was on the Wanee roster only one night last year.

I just realized that the ABB is on for both nights. That's great.

Any way, positive vibes for good weather for both festivals.
