Hi! Heard a rumor today of 2 nights in Raleigh in September with Widespread Panic - can not confirm the reliability of the source, but might be plausible or something to look out for anyway:

xxx,

Thanks for the email. Our schedule is still shaping up for this summer. Here is an updated list of confirmed and potential shows. Coldplay is booked for Raleigh and going on sale this Friday. Let me know if you’re interested in a certain level of VIP seating and I’ll send updated availability. I hope to work with you.

The show would have to start at 3 PM if both bands play full sets.

Be great to see Jimmy jammin' with the ABB and vice versa...saw Derek come out with Susan and jam with WP at the Philips Arena in ATL on 12-30 in '07-they played a great version of Little Wing and I can't remember the other one they played...duh

I would think WSP would headline those shows? In fairness, alternating would be the best solution.

That would be great, but I do not like the abbreviated sets. I would prefer to see them four nights (each band two nights) in a row. But, I will take whatever I can get. I am surprised to see Panic isn't playing the annual two night set at Walnut Creek in April. I guess I can wait until Sept with the Bros.

Well that took longer than I anticipated when I saw the title of this thread. It usually takes one or maybe two responses for a Peachy to state that the ABB should be the headliner or that it should be "an evening with" show.

Just curious, why would alternating nights be fair?

I got lost when I saw New Kids On The Block in the list of acts. I think they should open for the ABB. How about the Kids up on stage grooving with Derek and Warren during Whipping Post. The tears that would being to our eyes...

I've never seen WSP but have heard good things. Hopefully that's Walnut Creek, California you were referring to!

If you like to sit down during shows, then I would advise not buying tickets for that tour.

Hey now!

I spoke with a family friend this evening who has personal connections with a member of Panic and it looks like this is going to happen. It was said that a 2 night show was being planned to celebrate the Brothers' 40th celebration @ the Creek and that Panic was slated to open @ least one of the shows. Hopefully, more details will soon follow!

This has been all over the Panic boards too. Perhaps even a stretch of dates with both bands...
