I don't have an account with either but I hear so much about them.

How old is "too old" to use those networks?

I've heard it said, that it's kinda creepy if you are over 30. and have a page.

My mom and her twin sister are 71 and they recently put up Facebook pages. They can quickly see all kinds of pictures of their grandchildren, nieces, nephews etc from all over the country and communicate with family. Definitely not creepy...

I don't think age really matters, maybe to young......

I have found a lot of good music off myspace. Facebook can be a pain in the neck with all those things folks send you. Don't get me wrong, I love receiving them but it takes so long to respond to each one....which the site needs to improve...

No age limit at all... I'd say facebook would be the better choice.

No, I'm 37 and I have over 150 friends and only about 20 of them are UNDER 30. I think we use it more effectively quite frankly... I've reconnected with so many friends that I never really wanted to lose in the first place!

I have a facebook too, althogh I am rather new to it... it does seem that facebook is more for all ages & myspace is more for the younger folks & kids. It's really a cool concept though. Ive had tons of friends that I've connected with that I went to elementary school from my very rural old hometown ~ hadn't seen or heard from many of them in 25 years, but now I have thanks to facebook!
on a side note, if we get caught using either site, specifically, we will get fired from the agency I work for. they say they are loaded with viruses & they also warn us to not mention the place we work or list it on them because it can give a bad representation if your pictures are something you may not want to set as an example for yourself or things you say are made public that aren't an image you'd want to cast.

Facebook seems to be for the more adult people, myspace is more teen oriented, but seems to have more band info.

I have both - I think myspace is more use friendly - and I have met so many people through there (in and around my age) who have the same interests as me, in music, my heritage and bagpiping.

I'm still not down with the whole facebook thing though...

What's funny about that is they don't know I'vee seen their pages.

Sometimes they forget to log off after they've used my computer.

I'm 45 and my sister told me to sign up since she was finding all kinds pf people we grew up with; so I checked it out and when I saw my 17 year old daughter I knew that I needed to leave! Not to mention that she would have freaked if I had stayed.

I, too, have read/heard about people saying it's "not cool" to have a page on one of those sites if you're over 40--kind of a loser/pathetic-sort of deal. My sister in CA wants me to sign up on Facebook; I'd hear from her more often that way. I've heard many good stories about re-connectng, but there are also many folks I don't want to hear from ever again...

I joined Facebook along with family members that are my age because it is so easy to share pictures and random thoughts. The college age kids were a little nervous at first, but warmed up to the idea and have added us as friends. Now whenever they see me on the computer they invite me to 'chat' or instant message. My nephew posts his artwork which is really cool. They see we are not so different. Except they have 700 friends and I have 40!
