A couple things regarding the Grammy's last night.

1. Is anybody else just really really tired of John Mayer? I know he is a solid guitar player (when playing over his own material).....that is undisputable. However, I've seen him get absolutely blown off the stage by Derek and Robert Randolph at the Jammies. I don't dispute his songwriting abilities, as a matter of fact as a songwriter myself I think that is his biggest strength without a doubt, but this kid does not belong on a stage for a Bo Diddley celebration.

2. How high was Whitney Houston????.....Wow, lay off the rock.

3. Blink 182 (this was hands down my favorite part of the entire show......I was laughing my ass off) First off, I LOVED how the three of them strolled out onstage.....you could tell by their body language alone, they were clearly expecting a huge ovation....instead I think a tumbleweed or two may have blown across the stage. Then.....the big announcement "WE!...Blink 182 is getting back together!!!!".......again....crickets. The only way it could have gotten more uncomfortable is if someone in the audience got up and yelled "nobody gives a f*ck!!" and the cameras picked it up. At this poing I was rolling laughing.

4. Carrie Underwood. Holy Jesus. (no really thats it.....HOLY JESUS......those shorts were sent from heaven....so hot I almost didn't even realize she had the best voice of the night)

5. How the hell was Leroi Moore left off of the remembrances?????? Truly BS

It is sad, but every year the value of winning a Grammy drops significantly.

Rant terminated.

My wife and I were laughing at Whitney-she definitely was stoned-she hiked her fress up showing her bare leg and said: "I should have worn my boots"-with that dress??!!

I cant stand John Mayer at all....

Carrie Underwood was HOT and she had a female guitarist in her band who could play!

I happen to like Keith Urban and cant stand Coldplay-were those jackets they were wearing trying to copy Sgt. Peppers?

I always enjoy McCartney-besides the drummer who were the other players? What the hell did Rock mean when he said the "beatles fighters?! He sounded stupid-I thought the writers strike was over!

Where was Amy Winehouse?

Different take...

I too find the Grammys more humorous than "entertaining"...have for quite a while.

But could it be that we are just the next generation to find little value in the music the "younger generation" is entertained by?

I mean my parents literally laughed out loud at the Beatles.

Radiohead's performance was worth the price of admission. Simply amazing.

Forgive my tardiness....

6. the Jonas Brothers...........its a good thing Stevie Wonder is blind.....if he wasn't, I bet his manager's life would have been taken within minutes of the end of that performance.

Actually, I was considering not telling my parents that I liked the Beatles way back when because they both did too!

I do think about the fact that I find myself making fun of the Jonas Brothers and the rest of the "younger generations" music, especially now that my 11 year old daughter has a great singing voice and likes stuff I cant listen to. Maybe thats just a part of getting older and "I like what I like" attitude. I was surprised that my 11 year old daughter said she did not like Taylor Swift. I really enjoyed her song 15, but had to ignore Miley Syrus' skreeching!!

How about that absolutely beautiful guitar Taylor Swift was playing? Never seen that model before.

I joked to my wife that nobody told the Jonas Brothers that Stevie is blind.

The writing for the monologues was beyond dreadful.

Also, what was with that Katy Perry "performance?" I asked my wife (an eternal Top-40 radio fan) if the song sounded that bad on the radio and she said yes, then this morning I read that Perry may have been lip-synching...EEK!

I'd also like to ask - who in the hell is Adele?

Did COLDPLAY give a Grammy to JOE SATRIANI?

Was it necessary for JONAS BROTHERS to try to dry hump STEVIE WONDER? One of Stevie's handler's should have come out from stage left and deliver a fist full of respect to any one of them

I too was wondering if the Jonas brothers had to be told just who Stevie Wonder was and what his contributions meant to the music industry. Also, what are the odds that their guitars were not even "plugged in" when they "jammed" with Stevie for Superstition?.....

My daughter loves the Jonas brothers but I did notice that their lack of vocal ability during Superstition with Stevie was painfully obvious. also, I wish I had their expensive guitars when I was a teenager!!

Id say that she's an Amy Winehouse rip-off...
