It's also Axl Rose's birthday too. Bob and Axl... now that would be an interesting duet.

Babylon By Bus will be in the mix today!

Great song, and one of my all-time favorite movies (starring Danny Glover).

RIP, Rasta man!

One of my three biggest regrets - never seeing Duane, Hendrix or Marley!

In my freshman year of high school 72-73, I attended my first concert. It was Jethro Tull. A couple of months later in the same college town (Miami University, Oxford Ohio) the same friend invited me to free show being held on campus. It was Bob Marley & The Wailers. My first experience partaking happened that day too. Bob was onstage smoking, and saying how much he appreciated towns like Oxford, and Ann Arbor which had $5 ordinances for smoke. That was why he was playing for free there. His music really changed me that afternoon, as did some other things! Happy Birthday Bob. We miss you here on earth!

some great songs, many wth an infectious happy groovy feeling...
Three Little Birds is my fave by him:

Rise up this mornin'
Smiled with the risin' sun
3 little birds pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs Of melodies pure & true
Saying This is my message to you...
Singing' Don't worry 'bout a thing....
Cuz every little thing gonna be alright....

happy birthday to another fine human being & artist taken way too soon
