I think it's pretty sad that I, a hardworking mother of 3, can't find decent affordable tickets to ANY show b/c I am not "entitled" to the presale code for joining the fan club too late. But it's ok for a "fan" who had the code to buy tickets, then turn around and sell them on e-bay for 2X what they paid before they even go on sale to the general public. Where is the justice ??????

Camp, while I am certain there are folks on the list serve who only signed up to get pre-sale codes so they could profiteer flipping tickets, the people who participate on this website and discussion forum aren't the ones who are scalping the tickets. Go to the SPARE TICKETS forum and keep your eyes peeled for any extras that may turn up. Many folks may have a last minute change of plans and can't attend the shows they bought tickets for. They generally sell them at face value. Don't be disheartened just yet.

that is sad. can you be more specific? apart from your personal story, which i'm sure is compelling, can you point to what you're referring to? anyone who bought peach corps tickets and is reselling them before the public onsale, if ID'ed, will be ostracized and maybe even pummeled.

keep in mind there are different presales, including an ongoing one that doesn't require a password, still has tickets available & isn't run by the nice people who run this website.

also, giving an anonymous person the benefit of the doubt - a dangerous thing on the internet - real fans who are real people and want to go to the shows most often get in. meet up with people from this site - these folks are really safe and nice, for the most part, and once they see you're who you really are, i'll bet you'll get to a show.

good luck, and seriously, if you can point to a Peach Corps presale ticket for sale on Ebay, put the link here and i'll bet someone will look right into it.

Dave is right. Keep your eyes open.

The presales have to have some rules or there wouldn't ever be any tickets for the fans.

Sure there are fans that make money flipping tickets but by and large the people who participate on this site are up front and not out only for themselves.

I've seen offers for face without fees even for Beacon tickets and I have even made some of them. As time gets closer you can probably see the broker tickets being offered for less than they are now and if all else fails, you can go to the venue the night of and there will be plenty of tickets being offered on the streets, even some by legitimate fans who's friends punked out on them.

Finally, the regular sale is still happening and you can probably get a ticket then. Hopefully the brokers will not pick up the lion's share of them.

Good luck.

I tend to avoid the pre sale because it seems that only select tickets are available. I always wait for the general sale even though I am entitled to participate in the pre sales. I just do better. Be patient grasshopper!! Please note: Life is NOT fair....

If you have an AMEX card, go to their presale now, no code required. Keep in mind that the broker sites' listings are often speculative, that tix MAY be landed later that can be resold. It is probably not listings from people here, though I'm sure there are exceptions. Finally, the public sale is Friday, so your complaints are premature.

what musicmann said. both times.

2 years ago, i found myself unexpectedly holding a pair of 10th row seats for the closing Sunday night. i posted my phone number here, and a nice young couple showed up at the Beacon Hotel a little later. they were thrilled - i SWEAR that girl knew her ABB - and i was happy to pass my good fortune along.

it's my understanding that if tix bought during the presale were later scalped, that the site admins would either void the tix, or that member's user. There's not much else they can do and that's more than they're obligated to.

I don't think most users here would scalp even extras. There's no amount of money that could be put on the gratitude you'd get from making them available to another fan. And we'd all hope the karma gods would repay us in kind some year we couldn't get tix.

you could subscribe to MOOGIS; see all of the shows, introduce your children to ABB and not have to pay for a sitter.

camp - like everyone has said here ... scalping by site members is not tolerated. Do not give up your Beacon hopes! Check the Spare Tickets section of this site for tickets being sold at cost. Also, the general sale has not even occurred yet - there will be tickets available when that happens (presales only get a portion of seats ... others are held out for the general sale).

If you are referring to the TicketsNow tickets which appear when you access TicketMaster for tickets be aware that TicketsNow is a TM enterprise that is under a lot of fire right now since there appears to be conflict of interest. There was just a hailstorm with the Bruce Springsteen tix that have recently gone on sale and all the million-dollar-seats that are appearing under the TicketsNow banner the minute the sale began (there is a post on GuestBook that addresses this).

If you are sincere, I hope you are able to find some Beacon tix. I've been on site for awhile and was shut out in first round of pre and general sales and was able to find some tix at cost from kind folks here.
