I am watching it and I think the show is hilarious. I have a friend who doesn't think the show is funny at all. I think he just doesn't get it and it goes right over his head.

It really does capture the weird dynamics in a small working environment. After working at a desk my whole life I got a field sales job almost 4 years ago and swore I would never work in an office again...however, being out on the road all the time isn't all its cracked up to be...it can't get pretty lonely....and working with a predictable bunch of personalities can be trying at times but at least you always know what you're dealing with.

Yes... I understand... but No Kidding I work in Frag's and Cosmetics.... the drama.. all day long.. it's always different.. at times ridiculously funny and sometimes I am looking for the camera....

Question .. what kind of Office is this.. what are they really doing besides looking around and making us laugh .. what is there real job at that make believe office anyway ???

Tonight's episode was great. This is the best show since Seinfield. We all love it here.

Dwight Shrute is possibly the funniest and most demented comedic character on TV today

Dwight rules! I love how his least favorite charity is PETA

I also like the UK Office, particularly Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, originators of The Office. Embarrasing awkward awkward situations. You can find some episodes on You Tube.

Rainy: they work for Dunder Mifflin selling paper in the Scranton, PA branch.

I'll second that. Try and find some episodes from the original series from the UK. 2 series and a Christmas Special were made. I'm not sure if they are easy to find in US dvd stores since i'm from the Netherlands. Very popular over here and very affordably priced.
I must say the US team really catched the vibe pretty well and it's acting is great too but if you think it's hilarious and embarrasing awkward wait until you see the British episodes!!!!!

I went to school in Scranton for 4 years and they are dead on target with the local color. They mention bars , resturants and all sorts of places that I've been to. The writers really do their home work on N.E.P.A. The people and places there really do have an odd charm that is portrayed on the show. Went to some great ABB shows at Montage.

I don't follow the show consistently but I do enjoy it. It blows my mind that I'm 35 and the 20 somethings in my office think it's cool that I went to U of Scranton. Nobody even heard of it 10 years ago.

I did too (class of '90). Agree they get it right about Scranton a lot.

One of my favorite shows, for sure...seasons 2 and 3 definitely beat anything on TV since Seinfeld...

what happened at the end of the show when Michael returned to the office after his personal day following the roast? My DVR cut off the last few minutes of the show on Sunday.

Thanks,

Ryan

I have more family than I care to admit in Scranton - I think the only thing they didn't get right was the accent!!!

He roasted the individual members of the office and then felt better about everything. It was pretty funny.

they've gotten better with that. They finally stopped going to Hooters and Chili's which we don't have here and it would annoy me every time they went there! When they had the Office Convention here they must have figured out they were going to places that didn't exist. Great show though, and the British version is also hilarious. The british "Dwight" counterpart is a freak.
