If I have a regular TV (old school, not HD, with the regular red, white, yellow hook-ups for a dvd player)
My question is if I buy a converter for my laptop, will I be able to see the Moogis concerts with enough clarity?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I have a regular 27" TV w/ an s-video input and have run the signal from the computer s-vid port. I'd say it looks like a 2d gen VHS img. Decent enough. You can test yours by trying the sample vid on Moogis yourself.

so if I go to Best buy and get that converter I guess I can test it and see how it is, then purchase the moogis subscription. I just want to make sure that I can see the beacon concerts with some quality before i buy the package. Thank you for your help. Its funny because everybody now has a giant b a big screen with hd and all but i dont really watch that much tv, so i buy a guitar every time that i have $1500, not a tv. BUT....I really want to watch these beacon shows.

Yeah, I keep waiting for my 13 yo 35" TV to die before I spend $ on the HD or whatever. I think your TV will be fine. I expect any image issues will have to do w/ the Moogis output and not the TV. But I think you'll be fine on video. BTW, I ran the audio through my receiver last night and it sounded fantastic!

What sort of convertor are you looking at?

you might want to try something cheaper to start with...you could use this adapter and a cable to carry video and you will also need a mini jack from your computer headphone jack to rca red and white for audio (also pretty cheap)... that could be hooked to a tv or stereo audio in..

That converter uses composite (one cable) for video, if your TV does component
(3 seperate cables to carry the video) you will get much better results with a
converter that does compoment.
