The article was really interesting from the perspective that "jam fans" are perceived to expect certain things from records/shows. Consequently many writers especially whether inside or outside the genre tend to ask a certain set of questions related to those expectations. This guy let Derek go where he wanted to go and shaped his questions to engender a conversation. ONe of the best articles i've read in a while
