I personally would like to see any of the following bands at Wanee.
The Grateful Dead
Phish
Bob Weir and Ratdog
Dave Matthews Band
Widespread Panic
Umphreys Mcghee
Does anyone think we could see a Dave Matthews Band performance for the saturday night closer before the Allman Brothers Band and Soul Stew with the Derek Trucks Band?

i like DMB and have been to 18 shows but i would never want him to play Wanee... Ratdog did last year and i though it was bad! Panic and Phish are way to big to have and Dead is a possible but not even a fan of that idea. UM is about the only one i like that wouldnt bring in TONS of ppl. No offence by all means i like all those band just not at Wanee!! Bonnaroo 10klf rothbury sure. Wanee is the perfect size

I don't know why you think that, but I would love to see Dave Matthews play Wanee 2009. I think it would be a good fit, considering Dave knows Gregg and Warren really well. I think the Dead would be huge, because I am a Dead Head.

I don't think Dickey will show, because he is not invited to the Beacon, and I don't think he is invited to Wanee either. I would love to see a huge crowd for a saturday night Dave Matthews at Wanee!!! I also loved the Ratdog set considering I am a Dead Head.

Hey cdrase since you have been to 18 DMB shows, do you have any tapes of those shows that you could send me? I am a huge DMB fan and haven't made it to a show yet.

not in particular, I just want some with good sound quality and a good setlist. I really like the song Warehouse, if you have any with a good version of that song on them. Do you have any recommendations for me, as far as Dave Matthews show recordings go?

I think DMB would bring a different vibe to Wanee, if it in fact happens. Which I would love to go, but June is way to nasty (Heat,Bugs,etc.). I hope it is in the fall. As for Artists, a good indicator is the Xmas Jam and Mnt. Jam. It appears as though the same artists appear at various events. That said, I would like to see Ray Lamontagne there along with the Dead, which with Warren touring with them is not totally out of the question. Bring back Railroad Earth or Del and the Boys. Johnny Winter would be a great addition and he rocked it out at the Jam oh and what about that guy that was everywhere at the Xmas Jam Mr. JPJ. Other than that I would like to see Mofro, moe., JJ Cale, Lee Boys or Robert Randolph, and possibly WSP, but like a previous post suggested they might be too much. But, wouldn't that be great, think of Bonnaroo 2, when Allman Brothers were followed by Panic, just reverse the order and I think it would work out nicely.

I guess I should have mentioned the usual suspects, but since it is an ABB family event, it was implied. But I agree with the above post with DTB, ABB, Gov't Mule, Oteil and the Peacemakers, etc.
