Finished the last of my 8 O'Clock Coffee this morning,.....

Eight O'Clock brand coffee is the best value in coffee around imho.
Perfect balance for my taste.

Peachstatedawg, I totally agree with you.

My fave (and only one we buy) is the Eight O'Clock Hazelnut. I buy it in the bean form and grind my own.

Best way to start a day.

Same here, Joe. Whichever of these two is on sale.

Hot and black....just like my........asphalt. And lots of it.

I like a lot of drive thru window coffee, too, but you can keep Starbucks. YUK!

That's cool ~ whatever gets you movin' in the morning...and if you can save a buck or two in the process ~ that makes it even better!

I called the Eight O'Clock company a while back and asked if they had any coupons. They sent me a few. That helped.

I tried to talk my brother and sis-in-law into buying Dunkin' Donuts coffee bags, but they insist that "it just doesn't taste the same", so they will continue to pay the drive-thru prices. Must be the brand of milk??????? Or sugar?????? Dunno. They buy at least three a day from their local DD. Their choice, their money!

I used to buy the Folger's bricks till I got a taste of Hazelnut. Now I am picky! But if at a friend's house or at a restaurant, I'll not have a qualm about what I drink. I ain't no PrimaDonna....

Another note, I would love to pull myself away from coffee a little. I only drink about 3 cups a day, but I have thought that maybe tea is better for me? Antioxidants and all that.

But this might be considered hijacking a thread, talking about another subject than the original...

Thanksgiving Coffee

http://thanksgivingcoffee.com/

these guys show you can be green, people friendly, make a good product, and still be successful in business.

I got kinda lost, was walking around their factory, and this guy comes up and asks if he can help me. Told him I was looking for coffee, gave me a tour of the place and a private "cupping". Turned out he was the owner. Great guy - grew up in NY, left after returning from Woodstock and went out west to brew coffee.

Circle K has a lot of flavored coffees that I like, especially hazelnut. I also like cinnamon.

Some stuff they make a Viet restaurant I go to. It drips drips drips for about 15 minutes into a small glass with a few ounces of sweetened condensed milk, then you stir it up together and pour it over ice. I had one one day, then got a double to go. Made me just a bit buzzy.

Community Coffee, dark roast. Tasty and a good value at $6 for a full lb, so it's comparable to the big names. I discovered it back in the early 80's and had to get it mailorder (I had a subscription, 6 lbs of beans every 3 mos). Now my store usually carries it.

Drink Maxwell House regular, but love Kroger's brand and Bob Evans as well. Hate Starbucks.

At home its 8 o'clock coffee in the red bag. Used to get the French Roast but it was too strong for my wife. If I'm out of the house it's Seven Eleven House Blend or Dunkin Donuts if no Seven Eleven is around. I'll drink Starbucks (very rarely) if I'm going to get something sweet to eat with the coffee. I love their pastries and brownies.

Be safe,
John

Coffee snob here.

Anyone who roomed with me at the Beacon would know - I bring my own coffee to make in the morning....

Right now it's Gevalia Whole Bean Kenya and also Antigua.
Grind up about two days worth at a time....very fine and use the drip maker for the morning.
On the weekends or if I have the time, i use the French press.

I'm a coffee snob to the extreme.
I roast my own green coffee beans.
A couple of days worth at a time.
Only grind it right before brewing.
I'm partial to Ethiopian and Kenyan
but change up often to everywhere coffee is
grown.

I've pretty much drank 100% Kona for about 2 years now. Best stuff on earth.

Good friend is a coffee salesman. Hooks me up with 5 lbs at a time. Also gave us some Kopi Luwak. VERY good coffee. But a bit too pricey if I had to pay for it.

I also like Jamaican Blue Mountain but prefer the Kona.
