Seriously though, I'd love to see Dickey too Rainy. But the question was excluding Dickey and Clapton, so I would really like to see Jackie Pearson....I havent seen him since his last Beacon appearance and I'm Jonesing to hear those sweet ,soaring runs up the fretboard........

Agreed!

Boz Scaggs doing Loan me a Dime with Derek would probably make my life, too.

I'm sure many won't agree, but frankly, I find the guests more of a distraction than anything else. I'd rather see the 7-piece band go out and deliver a hot two sets of Allman Bros. music than anything else. To me, the guests are "fun" in small doses, but in the long run, they end up breaking up the momentum of the show. And.. I'll probably take some heat for this one (but here goes...) - Much as I love Susan Tedeschi, I can't remember the last Allman show I attended where she didn't make an appearance. Let's get something staright - I LOVE Susan Tedeschi. I think she is a huge talent and plays great music. However, when I go to a Susan Tedeschi concert, I want Susan Tedeschi. When I go to an Allman Bros. show - I want the Allmans. Nothing against her, but the novelty of her guest appearances has declined inversely to their frequency. One man's opinion. No go ahead and tell me what an a-hole I am for feeling this way.

Chuck Leavell
Dan Toler
Jack Person
Johnny Neel
Rook Goldflies
Thom Duecette

Other guests who played with Duane on some of his signature tunes outside the ABB would be cool too.

I'd like to keep the guests to people who played with Duane or the original band up until about 1975......

I kind of agree with Fitzy. I think the Beacon guest thing has gotten a little out of hand. I miss the days of 3 hours of intense ABB in a small theatre. This year of course is a special case and I'm sure everything will be top notch but I've also seen some guests take the show down a notch. I love Traffic and Dave Mason but his spot back in 2007 had technical problems and the flow just seemed off.
Best guests I've seen were Cornell Dupree and gang in 2006. I wish I saw Frampton.

I was also at the show where Warren was kind of sick and Eric Krassno and Susan played most of the night. My wife loved it and I thought it was definatly unique and cool but there were definatly people near me that wanted the full ABB and didn't even know who Susan was and were puzzled. Tuff luck but at these prices it should be a little more clear as to what you can expect.
