Maybe you should choose a show and everyone else
can go to the other ...

But then they wouldn't be able to find Sang in Lincoln Park after the show...(flashback to a few years ago when he last seen singing to himself at the base of a tree following a Mule show at PW which was preceded by extremely heavy drinking on Halsted in Greektown...wish I'd been there!) LOL

I'm going to the Friday 2/27 one in my own backyard ... Good luck Sang! Nice venue!

I am not going to either. But maybe with the money I saved by getting shut out of Beacon tix, I can afford both shows, hotel, and airfare.

I am hitting the DTB in Cincy for sure and probably one of the Chicago dates. My wife and I are hitting the Dead show in Chicago on May 5th for sure. We will probably have to pick just one Chicago date for DTB though. I would think the second night would be the better night, but I am sure both will be kickin'. We are locked in for the Dead on May 5th in Chicago as well, can't wait!

He's playing here again?

It hasn't been two years yet.

For those that don't get this, for some strange reason, despite sell-out or near sell-out crowds in Chicago EVERY show, Derek only played one date each in 2002, 2004 (brofan's reference), 2006 (Songlines DVD taping), and 2008 - nothing in the odd numbered years.

Now, he's back already, and for two shows no less. I guess we're finally in the big leagues - Yay!

Randy, I think you need to resurrect that thread about Sang's excellent Lincoln Park after-Mule adventure.....I know you played a big part in it!

It was a post-DTB experience, not Mule. But . . . under the heading "hasn't he suffered enough," I'll leave that alone. Shoot, it was almost 5 years ago, now.

Besides, I'm pretty sure it's in the locked section and can't be bumped.

I stand corrected..maybe that explains why the dTb has only played in Chi every other year....they wanted to spare Sang the embarrassment!

You are a compassionate man...
