WARREN HAYNES TO PERFORM AT WASHINGTON LIFE MAGAZINE'S INAUGURAL WEEKEND KICKOFF PARTY AND MID-ATLANTIC INAUGURAL BALL

Prestigious appearances begin a busy spring and summer concert season for the acclaimed guitarist/singer/songwriter with Gov't Mule, the Allman Brothers Band, and the Dead

(NEW YORK, NY) --Warren Haynes will be featured at two major inaugural events -- as the sole performer at Washington Life magazine's Inaugural Weekend Kickoff Party and as part of the Dead for the Mid-Atlantic Inaugural Ball.

The Inaugural Weekend Kickoff Party, taking place on Friday, January 16, boasts a guest list that is a who's who of Capital Hill's political elite, including former Clinton Chief of Staff and current Presidential Transition Team head John Podesta, who will be giving the opening remarks, and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who will introduce Haynes. Hey, it must be a typo because it says the tour will be between June and August of 2008!!!

Anyway, Either Mule will be opening for ABB this summer or something is not right here... thoughts?

I'm wondering about all this myself, Sue! No summer tour for the Bros? We've been hearing about a possible June Wanee date - what up there? My mind is racing!

I hope it's a case of Mule and ABB doing a tour together. That would be wonderful and make the most sense. Perhaps their first stop would be Wanee!

I'm thinking maybe a repeat of last year's schedule when Mule did a summer tour followed by the ABB going out in August and September which would be very cool!!!

Maybe you guys can get a non monsoon show on Block Island this time!!!

Thanks Ang. A very mellow setlist, but very classy. I'm sure Warren put some serious thought into this.
