Howdy.

I don't post much on this site any more, but I still read up from time to time, and I've come to know you as one of the biggest Gregg fans around (as if your name, alone, doesn't give that away).

Well, anyway, I have this old copy of Rolling Stone magazine lying around, and I thought you might be interested in it. It's from 1975, with a very svelt and very shirtless Gregg Allman on the cover. It's in as good-a-shape as it can be in (sealed within a plastic, but a little faded, as the mag. was still run on newspaper in those days) and it's yours if you want it - no charge, of course.

The wife and I are expecting a baby, and we're cleaning out some space in the house. Since my home recording studio is being turned into the baby's room, stuff like this just has no place right now... I could hang onto it, but I figure there's no better home for it than with a Gregg fanatic.

Anyway, if you're interested, lemme know, and we'll make it happen!

Thanks! Hope all's well!

OldDirtRoad, my man... what's shaking?

I did, indeed, get someone (two folks) to take it off my hands. One sent me the shipping money and the other didn't. Ah, well... ya live, ya learn. Heh.

How'r things by you, man?

First off, congrats on making some 'new' music. You'll soon be hearing some of the most beautiful sounds in creation.

Mitzi is going to just love this, and what a very thoughtful thing to do! That goes a long way around here.

Peace to you and good health to your wife and child.

Mid-April is the time, man, and it's spoooky. But it's also sublime. I already feel a strong bond, and right now it's but a wee lil' thing. A few days ago, my wife was scared because she didn't feel the baby moving around inside her like it normally does. She thought something was wrong (Heaven forbid). I had her lay on her back and I put my face right on her belly and sang James Taylor's "Daddy's Baby." Before long, the little one kicked and it was just about the greatest thing ever! Now I made a vow to sing a new "baby" song (i.e., a song with the word "Baby" in the title) every night. I'm running low on songs, so pass some titles my way. Tonight's performance is Roger Miller's "Baby Me Baby."

Otherwise, all I'm up to is music. Recorded/released another album in December, and I'm working on a few more now. I figure I want to get 'em all in before April comes and I'm not as readily available. STILL hoping that someone buys one of my songs one day!

Glad you're well, man... chat soon!

Hey Mitzi, why don't you call Rolling Stone to track down the photographer who has the bottom part of the picture?

I'm a big KEN KESEY enthusiast. Also big on NORMAN MAILER.

If anyone has a spare Rolling Stone issue that features them on the cover (though not shirtless for either of the two!!) let me know!!!!!!!

Congratulations Frank!!!

There really is no pleasure in life greater than the 9 months of preperation and anticipation of a little bundle of joy. Count yor blessings and praise Jesus that you are on a Happy path to a better life than you can even imagine. I've learned more from my 5 year old in the last 5 years than anything in life could ever teach me.
