I agree with that one, or "Into The Mystic", or any of the covers. I'd much rather hear them play some of their unplayed originals.

Different strokes, I think WATR is a fantastic song with great style changes and modulation. Rockin' Horse is a great song but heard it many times.

Personally, I wouldn't miss Every Hungry Woman or Wasted Words at all. But it's all good and sometimes I do need a quick bathroom break.

There are a couple of songs that I could do without, but they always segue into the guitar interplay and solos which is the reason I'm there. It's all good.

The last two times I've seen them they played Walk on Guilded Splinters, it's just not a song I'm that big of a fan of, so they could remove it and add something like Just Ain't Easy or Wasted Words.

I have heard both of those songs too many times. That's what I'm getting at.

They may play more covers this tour. Especially if they do have a lot of big name guests. They can play anything they want as far as I am concerned.

Agree, I never understood the popularity of NLRW. To me the band is way too sophisticated to employ the worn out "rock song with a Bo Diddly beat" thing. The lyrics are good tho'.

Jeez you guys are spoilt.
I suppose when you catch numerous shows you might get tired of hearing a particular song.
I"ll listen to them play anything they wanna play!

Seriously, if you leave out Every Hungry Woman, Rocking Horse, Desdemona or Anyday...what do you think the setlists will look like? They do play a lot of songs too often but without these its Decade of Hits time. Also Every Hungry Woman is one of their best. I would refer you to Jazzfest 2007.

***I think the question really should be what songs should they ADD***

...of course if they don't come up with some continuity in their solos on All Along the Watchtower, I do think they should just skip that one.

I just want them to play whatever they want to play. The music is much better when the musicians are having fun playing what they want to play. I'm just glad that they have such a nice catalog to draw from. Very few other bands change it up every night with such variety. Add in all of those magical jams and it is pure bliss.

That being said if I were gonna take any one song out it would be 'Midnight Rider'.

I agree with "It Stoned Me." I might have agreed with Rocking Horse but then this summer they introduced that new second jam in there, and it ended up being one of the highlights for me! I'd love to see some rarely played songs like 'please call home' or 'end of the line.'

well, I would think there are certain tunes they need to keep in rotation , simply because not every fan is a diehard that attends multiple shows per year like we do...and songs like Midnight Rider, OWO, ect are the more "popular" ones..

Wow, I almost forgot One Way Out. I've had the good fortune to see A LOT of live ABB shows over the past 3 years. And I think OWO has been the encore for 95% of them.
And oddly enough, of the many shows I've seen in the last couple of years, I have not heard Whipping Post ONCE. Seems they only play it on Fridays/Saturdays and I usually attend weekday shows. GIMMIE SOME WHIPPING POST!!
I guess you just can't please everybody.
