Okay Beacon vets, I would love to hear your thoughts regarding where you like to sit (or stand) in the Beacon, what locations you would avoid, and why. Your input posted sometime before 8 p.m. EST on Wednesday would be great.......

If I must choose then I guess front row center will do. I enjoy standing and dancing for shows so I usually gravitate to floor seats but it's best if those seats are not far enough back to be under the loge.

Some but not all, Eileen. I haven't received mine yet but we just got internets here in Middle Earth...

If u like to stay on your feet and dance the night away, grab orchestra seats. If you rather sit and be more mellow, hit the loge. If u want to save some money and dance or sit, hit the balcony.

Me I am a floor guy

As I recall, last year the 1st 10 rows were base$149.50 and Row 11 on was $100. That's a big difference, too big if you can get in rows 11-20 or so.

Also, please be sure to heed Lana's warning not to post anything from the POG.

Are the old seating charts still valid or has that changed with the renovations?

About where you'd want to be at...I like anywhere in the building except way back in the Orch.

Very limited experience here but I enjoyed Loge much more then floors. I thought the sound was better in Loge, lack of drunken a-holes and proximty to bevy's are all positives for the Loge.

Loge, especially the center, has the very best sound in the house IMO. The people splurging $150.00+ for the first ten rows are actually paying for the worse sound in the house. On the floor you want to be tenth row or back for better sound. I have sat everywhere in the Beacon and although it is nice to be close up once in a whlie to watch these awesome musicians ply their trade, I would rather be where the sound is best.

Unfortunately, there are no restrooms on that level

Unless they have added them somehow with the renovations...

Front row loge works pretty well, if you read about one of our NJ politicians antics at a DSO show in DC.

I avoid the last rows of the loge; sound is muffled due to the roof above your head, and smoky thanks to the people who insist on smoking despite the "rules."

If I have to pick between Loge and Lower Balcony, I pick Lower Balcony every time. Preferably front row.

I NEVER pick Upper Balcony.

This is assuming, of course, that I have a choice in the matter!

Very similar,but

Highest seat #'s in Loge are 55 &56.They were 51 &52
Upper Balc are59 & 70.They were 55 & 60

Just two small examples.
