Probably too good to be true, but makes me wish I could get up to NYC.

Sounds like it will be great if things go down like they plan.

Of course if Dickey does show up, there will be a lot of people here pissed off and angry...LOL !!!

Nothing new there and it is still just someone's opinion and rumors.

Sounds good though.

Thats what I thought, someone just speculating about the people who have played with the ABB in some sort of way making an appearance. Clapton would be nice!

I figured it was too good to be true when I posted this, so it might be. However if the Beacon run is supposed to be a designed to be a tribute to Duane, it would be nice if only for a couple of weeks for everyone to put their differences aside.

Plus, if the Clapton thing pans out, then that would just make it even better.

Not much of an article; though I loved the first comment below. Killer picture of Gregg.

Austin is Boz Skaggs son but I don't know if that gives the guy anymore credibility than the next speculator. Boz has no shows booked for the month of March so maybe he's leaving his schedule open in case the Brothers need him. And Dickey will be performing in Wisconsin, Ohio , Illinois and Minnesota the two weekends that have been announced for the upcoming Beacon run. So unless they add shows for March 26-28, I don't think Mr Betts will be available. Clapton will be in Australia March 5-13.

I love all the chatter leading up to the shows. Who would've guessed that Taylor Hicks would have been a guest performer? or Bruce Willis? Personally I prefer Hubert or Susan. And unfortunately I know I can only attend two or three shows. I can say, I've never been dissappointed in their choice of guest performers

Well all just haveta wait and see.

I really don't care if there are any "guests" . I'd be happy to see the Brothers on their own.

All of the fun really is in the speculation-the 2006 Beacon run had a ton of great guests and we have now become used to enjoying varied and sometimes surprising guest appearances. I for one will try to get the best seats I can for as many Beacon shows I can afford and wait for the magic to unfold!!

I can't go to any of the beacon shows, so moogis will have to do for me! As far as who sits in as a guest performer, I could care less! What we get is what we get!

I hope Hourglass gets to play. I think all the originals (Except Duane) are still active.
They may need to rehearse a day or two, with Gregg and Derek.
Wonder where would be a good place?

I think you and I are in the minorority (A. Bunker here lord). There are very few guests that IMO add to a show. It's certainly heresy on this board, but I hope I never hear Susan Tedeschi sing Don't Think Twice It's Alright again. I wouldn't mind Chuck Leavell, Dickey Betts cause it'd be history, or Clapton cause he's a God. Otherwise, just the Brothers would be great with me.

I agree , Susan's great but I really don't care for her sitting in with the ABB , I would be happy to just hear the ABB dust off some of thier older less played songs .
