I hear it's Clints last "acting" movie and just wants to
stick with directing now at 78.

That said, is it Dirty Harry retired, or something different?

This movie has been getting some wonderful reviews for both touching (and relevant) storyline and Eastwood's acting part.

In a nutshell, is this a feel-good-about- illegal immigrants type movie, or illegal-done-good story?

I saw the part in the movie trailer where he holds off gang bangers with a shotgun..."Get off my lawn."

I thought of Sang when I saw that.

Neither, and I'd say they are US Citizens, not fictional illegals in the film.
Its a Clint film, Clint does quality work...even Bronco Billy .

Dirty Sang, Weedeater Force .

Oh yeah...the guy in the film mows his lawn quite a bit with one of those old Leave It To Beaver rotor style lawn mowers.... his character unwilling to change until he sees what he missed out in his family by seeing the close ties Vietnamese people have with their families. Its too late for him and his family.
Best film I've seen in a few years, but then again I dig Clint.

Hmmn, does that make you a "rube" as LesPaul implied I am for owning a Challenger?

I prefer the 69-70 Torinos. I could never get my arms around that big, ovular egg-crate grill on the Gran Torinos.

BTW, there isn't a large Hmong immigrant population in Detroit where that movie was shot. Just black folks. Can you IMAGINE the outrage from the political correction police?

69-70s were beauts. My brother had a 69 Torino Cobra...slick son of a gun. He traded it in on a Toyota Corolla in the mid 70s....

Seems like they added a juiced up Javelin front clip to the Torino 71 and later. Still the car in the movie is cherry.

Lots of Hmong in Minnesota and Weezconseen. Down here in Texas there are several area wiht big Hmong communities. I eat at one area pretty frequently, and they even mention the tiny city in the movie which kinda shocked me.

If politically un-correct puts you into a tizzy, this movie ain't for you. Cause nobody is spared bythe main character in this movie on the P/C front. Gives Southpark a run for its money .

As Hasija said, for me also, BEST movie I've seen in years. On many levels. And in the end, it is very politically correct.
