I was looking through the Beacon Insider online and read about the restoration of the Beacon Theater. The picture there had a New York Times logo on it and i found a slideshow of pictures from the process. Just look at the empty auditorium in the first picture

Now I can't wait to see the finished Beacon in march:-)

People can you feel it?? :-)

Sorry if the answer to this is already well known, but do we know if they are planning to put the seats back on the first floor? Wasn't that a possiblity - to leave it open? I hope not. I think it would ruin the aesthetic of the place.

Some of us are getting too old to stand during a whole show. My husband has a back problem and he can't so he just won't go to them.

I like to be able to chill once in awhile and not have to jockey for a position if I need to use the restroom or something. Plus, it's nice to have a place to lay your coat in the winter.

I just wanted to post the pictures i found and share them with you all.

I'm looking forward to the new renovated Beacon, and i hope the seats are put back. It's good to rest ini between and not miss anything on the stage because the people in front of you are much much taller than you

Beacon dates after new years is a good tradition I still can feel it eventhough its a few months away

Hey Julie, we sat in the Loge at the Beacon in 2007.
You are not in that crazy first floor and the sound is better.
I have a bad back and bad knees so I feel for your husband.
Also the sound was better for us. You get a great view of
the stage.

Drew don't give up on the Beacon yet. And who knows how
much longer the ABB will be touring. I think it may be,"get it
while you can".
