Now, I'll admit this isnt the normal type of song that the Brothers usually do. Usually they take a jamming song, and jam with it *ABB* style.

This is a 3 1/2 minute pop song, but I think it would work.

I heard it on an oldies station last night, and would LOVE to hear Gregg and the Brothers do it.

Brooke Bentons 1969 hit "Rainy Night in Georgia"

I can just hear Gregg singing it, and the band playing it. Regarding the lack of jamming, at the end...when the single fades out...I can very easily hear the band going into kind of a mellow jam. Kind of a nice long slow blues style jam at the end. Give Gregg, Derek and Warren a turn, and then end it kind of mellow like maybe the end of High Cost.

I don't know how well the ABB could do with that song, but it
would be a natural for Gregg, that's GA&F. Great song!

Boz Scagg's "Loan Me A Dime"!

Great vocal for Gregg, and plenty of room for Warren and Derek to stretch it out.

It's a natural!!!

It's already been done (summer of '00) and thankfully they don't do it anymore.
I wasn't impressed with the song.

Yep, i think it could fit on a GA&F setlist but not sure if it's ABB material.

One more Dylan song, except that Leon Russell's cover of this classic has more of an "Allman" feel to it...

"A Hard Rains gonna fall"

Gregg's voice and Derek's slide....yowzah!

Cool to see that somebody else here digs Brooke Benton!

I really doubt this would happen, but it would be great if it did...
