I kinda feel like hurling, too, but I think it's this thread...

I'm the one who corrected JPB on the "Socialism' -"Fascism" but didn't explain it right. "Fascism" is defined by our dictionary as the German model, but the merger of govt with corporations is more like Mussolini's Italy. Mussolini once said "Fascism could just as well be called "Corporatism". What we have now could be called "Corporate Fascism". The word "Fascism " alone conotated gas chambers and Hitler. As I said "Socialism' is govt helping people, not corporations so I took exception the JPB use of that word.

Corporate Welfare has always been a problem in this country, whether it's through subsidies, bailouts, tax breaks, loopholes, handouts, ripoffs and giveaways that always benefit the wealthy rather than the weaker, needy segments of the population. It was just vastly accelerated this year with the Wall Street bailout.
2 good books on the subject are Ralph Nader's "Cutting Corporate Welfare" and Aurthur Naiman's "Take The Rich Off Welfare".

I think it is funny how you guys can't stand JPB so much, but you follow him around like little puppies. Literally, every time the guy posts something, you can predict that there will be two or three people that come along and just dog him within minutes.

If he bothers you so much, just don't look at his threads.

It seems to me that ya'll must be gluttons for DRAMA...

I like JPB. "Can't stand" is not a phrase I'd ever use. But, hell, this is the WP. Why would anyone post here and not expect to catch some grief here and there? In the end, as long as it doesn't go too far, it's all good...

I think it's funny how you think you know what people here feel. "Can't stand"? Did anyone here actually say that?

Actions speak for themselves. Constantly attacking someone pretty much shows how you feel.

Not trying to offend you, just making a point.

I would hardly call that a lecture bro.

No harm was intended, just an observation.

Merry Christmas to you too.
