We caught one. They cancelled his Auction - Now he is harrassing me to pay for the item even though Ebay cancelled it.... So:

1. Don't Trade with him
2. Feel Free to contact him if you like

Correspondence below contains his e-mail and Name & address:

My last note to him...

Again, I was contacted by E-bay and notified that the auction had been cancelled because the seller (That's You) were violating E-Bay policy. Here is a copy of that note:

Dear Jim

The following listing:

2549568970 - Les Dudek - Trod Nossel Studios

has been removed from eBay for violating eBay policy.
=======================================

Now don't threaten me with negative feedback or I will notify Ebay and leave you negative feedback that includes the above note. I will contact e-bay to find out if it is ok to complete the transaction but I will not be a part of viloating their policies.

Can you tell me your intentions on honoring your winning bid on this item? The total was 135.50. You can send a money order to the below address or my paypal account is the same as my email. This is the last notice I will be sending concerning this matter, if there is no reply you leave me no choice but to enter negative feedback. Thank you

Michael Hojna

Cheektowaga, NY 14227

An Whooop this guys A$$! Seroiusly he has some damn nerve harrasing me for payment on an item that e-bay has cancelled and even gave the reason that it was canceled.

Don't forget now his email is Mtrtj@aol.com

Be sure to drop him a line or better yet maybe we could forward all 9 zillion pages from the 2 Godzilla threads to him and overload his system.

A virus would be nice for this guy too if you are in to that kind of thing. They say it's best to expose them while they are young and he is only gettin older.

I've already privately thanked KCJimmy for his help on this but wanted to do so publicly also. It's nice to catch one of these jokers in the act.

I have recently interviewed Les for an upcoming magazine article and had seen him play (outstanding!) the weekend before at the infamous Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa.

So, when I saw this show I alerted him knowing it was an unauthorized bootleg. Les asked for some help exposing the guy. In the meantime, I'd politely (honest, I was polite) e mailed the guy and told him that I knew that this was an unauthorized bootleg recording and asked him nicely to remove it.

Since I was ignored, I came here for help, and several people stepped up for which they have my thanks. He didn't pull the item but had blocked me from bidding.

Les contacted ebay,( I think it would be wise for the ABB to do the same) and I'm sure that's why it was cancelled. BUT, ebay mentioned the auction was cancelled and included wording to KCJ that he "didn't have to complete the transaction" which sort of implies, we cancelled it (nod, nod wink, wink) but maybe you still want to complete the transaction. What dirtballs!

Finally, after all that, Michael (can I call ya Mike?) e mailed me back saying that Les should put out some "good music" like this show and that I should "get a life". Well, Les got that forwarded to him plus all the personal information on good ol' Mikey.

I e mailed him back, suggesting I'd get a life and maybe he'd like to get a lawyer.

Chaulk one up for the fine folks on this forum! Yes, we can win one every once in a while. I would not like to be in Mikey's shoes.

My big, big thanks to all who suggested how to get at this scumbag and especially to KC Jimmy, ya done real good my friend!

Well I wil just pat myself on the back some more. I reported him to ebay for "trying to sell an item outside of ebay". Turns out thats big no no. See they don't make any money on those deals so they take them seriously.

The guy contacted me (See Below). Because I implied I was still interested he has offerd to sell anyway and admitted he was going to contact the 2nd bidder and offer it up to them. Ebay no like this! But they know about it now!

Nice Jimmy,very nice.

I followed one of the "forwarded to Nadine" links the other day to see the 95 HOB for auction.Maybe the most traded or one of the most traded shows.Got me to thinkin...what if every time one of these asswads puts up an auction, one of us puts up the same show with a starting bid of $.01,include in the info the details on what we;re trying to accomplish, brief explanation of trading and bnp's....

Or hell, put on a buy it now for .01,make as many available as there are requests, and give those people a link to here and explain the system to them.Surely if someone was willing to BUY a show, they'd be delighted to know the amount of shows they can get for close to free. One at a time,I think, they would quit buying shows.

Pros?Cons?Has someone tried this?

So I hear back from Mikey.

"Ebay cancelled the auction, what do you want from me?"

All innocent. Failed to mention harassing KCJ and planning to move on to the next highest bidder etc.

Stop bootlegging, that's what we want.
