So I'm walking around the floor of the Civic Center Friday night after the Mule set and behind the soundboard, all by her lonesome, is a sheep, just like the one we gave BlueDad at Jam for Duane. So I go over and give her a hug and look around for BlueDad but he's not there. I hang out by the sheep for @ 15 minutes thinking BlueDad must have gone to the bathroom and would be returning. I pick up the sheep and raise it above my head for a dance at one point. Then I spot JamGram and Syd on the other side of the soundboard and I grap the sheep up and head over to them. All of a sudden a guy starts yelling at me......"You can't take Betty, bring Betty back". I'm totally embarassed and start apologizing trying to explain that I thought it was my friend's sheep and I was just going to show my other friends. He says ok I can show the sheep to my friends by I must bring her back which I promise I will. So I take it over to JamGram & Syd and they have a fit and Paul and Heidi are there too and laughing about the sheep. Well, things got out of hand and all these other guys start grabbing Betty and molesting her so I'm trying to get her back when all of sudden a women, who must have been with the guy who yelled at me, came up grabbed the sheep and took her back to where she belonged. I apologized profusely and tried to explain that my friend had a sheep that looked just like her, but she wasn't happy with me at all. So I left and sheepishly went back to my seat telling Wallace that I was almost arrested for sheep-napping! Oh my!

I knew you would tell it better then I did Barb!!!! Really funny how protective people are with their "stuff," huh? Just wait til next year. We'll bring BOTH the large sheeps and confuse the hell out of them by claiming they have YOUR sheep and that theirs are over yonder! We need to bring the little versions of sheep that we had at the Gadsden Holiday Jam, NYE Pre-show gathering, and at Wanee and tell those people that chased you that they are now part of our family cuz the little sheeps were conceived behind that sound board last year while they weren't looking. Joe's never been to the Winter Jam so we could put him the mix some how too - like put his remote control finger on him and a voice box

I saw that sheep, and immediately thought of Bluedad also. Hilarious! Wonder if they needed to have a ticket for it, the thing was pretty big and took up a person's worth of space.

Betty, eh?

It was the smitten image of the sheep we gave to Bluedad, you would have thought the same thing I'm sure! Then we would both have been guilty of sheep-napping!

Once again, we're ahead of the curve here.
Look for more livestock at shows in '09.

her name is Sally and she is the long time mascot of the team dirty south tapers. I would guess most of the recordings you trade and listen to from southern venue shows is recorded by somebody associated with this crew.

BTW Sally had a rough weekend and may be retired.

It could have been his date.

That must be part of the reason they have not announced the Wanee dates. They are fighting over the new name..............SheepFest or Livestock!!!
