I'm going with Black & Blue. Every song on the album is great.

Gotta go with Beggars Banquet, the country blues on that collection really works for me.

I like a lot of tracks on Exile but not all. I like every song on Black And Blue..especially Hey Negrita and Memory Motel. Genius.

I'm going to have to give this one some thought. Which is dangerous for me.

I will say that I also liked Black & Blue a lot.

Exile on Main Street. It just might be the best rock and roll album ever released.

A tough choice but I'll go with Exile On Main Street...

Runners up: Sticky Fingers, Let it Bleed, Beggars Banquet, Between the Buttons, Voodoo Lounge (IMHO).

Best Compliation: More Hot Rocks (Big Hits and Fazed Cookies).

I actually look at the trilogy, Beggars, Bleed, and Sticky, as almost one big album. I would take Exile, edit down to a single album and not the double, and it would be as great as the three before to make it a four way deal........ I still include it as an extension of that era.............. Keith Richards is the best rythym guitarist in rock out there........ Sticky Fingrs is the cream of the crop to me. EVERY song, 37 years later holds up, and so many classics. Bitch is the best.............. Can't You Hear Me Knockin' AAAA++++++

Let It Bleed, end of discussion. I will add I think Brown Sugar is the greatest rock and roll song ever recorded, but I think bleed is the greatest stones albumn.

With "Let it Bleed" at #2

GOAT'S HEAD SOUP!!! My personal fave. The remastered CD is actually better than the album which I went through at least 4 copies of. Some of Mick Taylor's absolute best playing!

I'm a THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST fan. Always dug that LP even when critics bashed it to death.

AFTERMATH was a solid LP that showed the world that the Stones where capable of making great albums and also that they were here to stay.

GOATS HEAD SOUP is third. If y'all remember I started a topic on the album but never gave my own opinion.

Honorable mention: LOVE YOU LIVE, 12X5, DECEMBER'S CHILDREN

For me, its a toss up between Sticky Fingers and Exile. However, the five album run of Beggars, Let it Bleed, Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out, Sticky Fingers, & Exile on Main Street, encapsule the Stones at their peak in my opinion. Those five albums together make up a catalog of songs most people can only dream about.

My absolute fav albums are mid-60's... "Between the Buttons"
and "Aftermath". The music has a poppy side to it ... but given
the times it was cutting edge. I lovethe 60's fuzz bass. They
were relatively innocent still ...the production was unpretentious.
A good study in the transition of British R&R from Herman's
Hermits (bad boy version) to smoke-induced hip cool. And it all
happened over a few months ... not years. And a few busts.

"something happened to me yesterday ................................."
