Not bad, but it's Tim Hardin or nothing for me when it comes to that song. His cracking voice ,the honesty with every note.
It's a favorite for me.

I like Bob's 'Midnight Rider' from the 'Back In 72' album although a lot of folks don't.

Smokin O.P's is one of my faves..he really kills those songs..Bo Diddley, Love The One Your With, Let It Rock, Turn On Your Love Light...

As for If I Were A Carpenter, for me personally, it just doesn't get any better than Johnny and June.

I once heard a copy of a show with warren haynes doing this

Seger with Teegarden and VanWinkle, along with Mike Bruce on guitar . Smokin OP's and Back in 72 are both great albums, thanks for putting this up.

I was wondering when somebody was going to mention Leon's version ...I was just going to, but ya beat me to it.

The 45 version has Leon's take of "Wild Horses" on the B-side. I remember Leon got some flak for the picture sleeve photo.
