Epiphone PRS ... something. I forget that, too!
Epiphone Sheraton

There's also this really nice Taylor that somebody left laying around here. Yeah, I guess I'll give it back. ;)

LOL - no doubt...expensive hobby! He plays many of them (with a handful being his favorites) but does have some that he's collected which I don't believe are played (like an antique Hawaiian steel).

Well, I used to have a decent collection of guitars, but due to "hard times" and "negative cash flow" at various points in time, the collection has dwindled considerably.

Electric:
Turner Model 1-C Jr (tobacco sunburst finish)
Fender Stratocaster Japanese '57 reissue (2-color sunburst finish)

Acoustic:
Takamine EF444STBS (w/CT-4B preamp)
Fender DG-7 (no electronics)

Amplification:
Fender Tweed Blues DeVille 410 (original first year model, bought new in 1993?)
Fender SFX Satellite (a great FX device, but is bulky...bigger than a Twin Reverb)
Polytone Mini-Brute (was given to me by a friend who was "lightening his load")

Guitars I once owned (that I still pine for):

Gibson 30th Anniversary Gold Top Les Paul
1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard (tobacco sunburst)
1978 Gibson Les Paul Standard (tobacco sunburst)
1990 Gibson Firebird V (tobacco sunburst)
Fender American Vintage 1957 Stratocaster reissue (black) (1983 or 84...whichever was the first year they started their Vintage Reissue line)
Fernandes 1952 Telecaster copy (natural blonde) (played it and the Fender '52 reissue side-by-side and felt that the Fernandes was the better made and better sounding guitar)
1985 Gibson ES-335 (cherry)

Guitars I've owned but had no attachment to when I let them go:
Fender Telecaster Thinline
Fernandes '57 Strat copy (light metallic blue)
Ibanez Les Paul Standard copy (tobacco sunburst) (traded for a 1974 hard-tail Fender Strat...which I later traded in for the '78 Les Paul above)
Ibanez Les Paul Custom copy (alpine white) (cheap tuners, never would stay in tune)
Squier Strat (olympic white) (decent guitar, but my friend needed it moreso than I did)
Fender Strat Japanese 1972 reissue (white) (never got used to having a rosewood fretboard on a Strat)
A Silvertone dreadnought acoustic...built by some sadistic luthier...I never thought my fingers would EVER recover from owning this guitar

First guitar ever...some cheap classical guitar that I got on my 11th birthday, only owned a year...got me on my path of "guitar God in my own mind"...have NO recollection as to what happened to it. Might have traded it for a friend's baseball card collection or something.

My first two electrics that took me to the next level:

FIRST) a red sunburst 335 style guitar (don't remember the brand) with a bolt-on neck and the headstock had the matching "mother of pearl" as the pick guard. Got it for my 12th birthday...one day it just stopped working...so in high school, I dug it out and tried replacing the pickups...never worked again (which taught me to let PROFESSIONALS do my guitar repairs from then on). Kept it for posterity in the rafters of my parents' garage until they cleaned it out one year long ago. Probably got trashed.

SECOND) a cheap black solidbody three pickup thing with a whammy bar...a friend said it was a Silvertone, but I seriously doubt that it was. I don't remember whatever happened to it.

FIRST AMP) have no recollection of the brand, but it had 2 8" speakers and the head connected to the speaker cabinet by an RCA jack. The best feature was that it had a really cool tremelo effect (could get a very CCR type swamp sound)...way underpowered, probably was barely 2 watts, never could use it to play in a band situation...despite that, Mom STILL would constantly tell me to "TURN THAT THING DOWN!!"

SECOND AMP) A 212 solidstate blonde Silvertone with the head hardwired to the speaker cabinet...and the speaker cabinet had a slot in the back where you'd store the head.

First semi-professional amp: Mid 70's solid state Acoustic 150 head with a 6-10 cabinet...sucker was LOUD but so-so-SO clean...thank GOD for my Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face. Sadly, my parents house was broken into and the thieves took off with my amp...ahhhh!! That's what happened to that second guitar...forgot that they'd took that too! With the insurance settlement, I got a Sunn Model T stack with two 410 cabinets. Sold that at a garage sale in 1982.

Oh..and there was a whole bunch of gear I had that, due to living in a not-so-reputable-area-of-town, ended up getting stolen on numerous occasions...thereby prompting me to MOVE after finally "getting a clue".

And, there you have it...my history through guitars (and amps)

EDIT: My apologies for the length of this post.

Danville Roundneck Dobro (self set-up), 1955 Martin O-15, 2002 Taylor 314 Legend of the Falls Limited Edition (koa back & sides)

2005 Gibson Les Paul Studio Fireburst (wife picked her out, I set her up~!)

And an old Harmony set up for Open E slide playing, old Suzuki Nylon for classical.

Then there's all my old guitars that I try not to think about any more. Like old high school girlefriends . . .

Next: Hopefully an Eastman Jazz box or a Martin OM-28.
